Apparently Ireland tried to trade back into the first round to get Perry. Pass rushers are becoming extinct in this draft. I figure there is a need to get a guy in the 2nd. I realize the value at ol. But there may not be a guy as a pass rusher after the 2nd, and definitely not after the 3rd. Anybody know any sleepers at de?

Curry or Branch might be there in the 2nd. If we could choose between both of them at 42 we would be in a great position.

just not sure about branch; call it the merling syndrome

i don't mind looking at vernon from the u or the kid johnson from virginia; sleeper in later rounds coderio law, southern ms

Other than Upshaw, im wary.

If we want a pass rusher then we should just trade for Osi Umenyiora. Granted: money will be a problem. But without a doubt he would improve this team and can be had for a 3rd.

This would not make sense. We were 10th in sacks last season. And the only player we lost was Jason Taylor.

We were 30th in giving up sacks and we still do not have a replacement for Marc Colombo and Veron Carey.

Weight those scales and tell me what you see.

Johnathan Martin is still on the board and there is a possibility he falls to us. We also need a WR, because our best WR is Hartline and he's not even a good #2.

We still have another 3rd and there are WRs out there but Martin and Massie will be gone.

Who our WRs are might not matter that much if we give up another 50 plus sacks and 100 QB hits this season.

I think we are on the same page here, I was saying that OL and WR are bigger priorities than a pass rusher, you agree?

Pass rusher is bigger priority becasue OL and WR are strengths in the draft and plenty of them left. we need one or 2 pass rushers in this draft.

OL is not a bigger priority as you can get one easily in the 3rd and maybe 4th but WR is pretty damn deep and we got 2 picks in the 3rd and good pass rushers change the game more then both unless the WR have stone hands.

DE is the bigger priority.

I agree we need a pass rusher but I don't want to use either of our 2 picks in round 3 to move up.....the way I see it we need a pass rusher, a WR and either a guard or a tackle to play in the right side.....I don't want us to take a DE just for need....I want the best player on the board from the 3 positions we need help at the most.

Ozzy rules!!

Depends how far we move up a 4th could possibly do it, but I would personally trade 1 3rd for Upshaw the guys a beast.:dmonster:
