Beat writer Armando Salguero expects the Dolphins to "absolutely discuss" trading for Anquan Boldin.

Brandon Marshall isn't a Bill Parcells/Tony Sparano kind of player, but Salguero believes the Dolphins appreciate Boldin because "he's tough, he's big, and he is not a diva." Though the Cardinals are expected to ask for a second-rounder, it's believed that Boldin could ultimately be had for a third.

dont want him, hes to old.

Yeah really any age younger it would just be a steal. for how much he can change our offense, we'd be lucky to get him for a 3rd! he's in his prime and plus if he get him we might actually see Henning call a WR slant. it seems like I forgot what it looked like when a receiver catches the ball in the middle of the defense.. i'm tired of these damn checkdowns!

trade them Porter for him straight up lol. All kidding aside, I would give a 3rd for Boldin. I think he has a chip on his shoulder and would perform well here

A 3rd round pick for Boldin would be a good deal, but I can not see Boldin only going for that. Even with all his injury problems last season, he still managed a 1,000 yard season.

A 3rd rounder is very little to be giving up for a player of that quality, who is not out of contract till next year and also the Cards will be losing Breaston this year.

OH great, by week 8 the forum will be filled with posts about how we need a WR who can stay on the field. Can't wait.

I do not want Boldin because of a few reasons. One, he is banged up a lot. Even though he is a tough SOB, he is playing at less than full strength most of the season, and because of that his production drops off. Number two, his age is a factor. He is a physical receiver who takes a lot of punishment and I believe he will wear down quickly compared to guys who do most of their damage on the outside with their speed, like Moss,or guys like Galloway and Driver. Third, is something I just alluded to, is his speed. He is not very fast to begin with, and when you factor in the concerns I brought up about his durability and age, I think his speed becomes even more of an issue. You say you want to see the ball caught in the middle of the defense, but Boldin is able to do that in Arizona because Fitzgerald and Breston are streching the defense on the outside and in the seam. Boldin acts almost like a glorified tight end in that offense, working the short and intermediate routs in the middle of the field. I think the Dolphin offense would be better served with more of a well rounded receiver who is big, physicall, and fast in the mold of guys like Vincent Jackson, Larry Fitzgerald, Sidney Rice, Austin Miles, Braylon Edwards, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, and even Antonio Bryant. I realize that those type of players do not grow on trees, but that is the type of reciever that I want the Dolphins to add to their roster.

He has never played less then 10 games in a season.

Unlike Brown, he has never finished the season on IR

In 3 of his 7 seasons he has missed 4-6 games.

He averages 13.5 games a season.

The man misses a couple to few games every season definitely. But he more then makes up for it with his production.

For 3RD round pick, he is definitely worth it.

1) Sure he may not be playing at 100%. He still seems to manage 1000 yard seasons. The guy is productive.

2)Speed has never been a strength of his, so it doesn't become more of an issue. However, you are right with his age and durability only getting worse.

3) Boldin was catching over the middle before Fitz and Breaston, if anything one could argue they can do what they do because of Boldin.

4th) The glorified TE (Boldin) had a higher YPC then Fitz who was the deep threat last year. Just food for thought

1 thing is for sure...I think we can all agree that we CANNOT go into next year with this group of receivers.....we just cant...

Ok take a look at what we got for a third and tell me Boldin isn't better than what we could pick in the third round .
Boldin is a sure thing Can you say Turner.
