What do you guys think about if we moved David Martin to Wide Out and move Haynos to 2nd Tight End. We all know that Martin can't block to save his life. So what do you think about that experiment?????

I think it would be a good move. He cant block as a tight end any way. If you saw the game he has some speed. He is faster than 4.8!

Uh, no. Martin is a 265 pound guy who runs a 4.8-4.9 in the 40. I don't think so

The only thing that would be different about this proposed experiment would be actually calling Martin a wide receiver. He plays spread out as a wide receiver a lot already.

I say why not...he has size and can jump over top of any 5-NOTHING corner he may not be super fast but would be a great target on the outside and it allows us to still us two TE's and block for the run and probably opens stuff up for Bess over the middle and in the flats.

Martin has looked good all season. I bet Sparano is already ahead of me with Martin always split out wide we can drop Wilford he is awful.

When I saw him go up and snatch that ball my first reaction was "that's exactly what we brought Wilford in to do!" So, why not? From a bulk and height standpoint, so long as he can jump, what he gives up in speed he more than makes up for in brute force going 1 on 1 against the more puny DBs.

This is a stupid thread. just cause he made one nice td catch doesn't mean anything. Look at all the balls he dropped this season and cause of one play now he can be a WR? Give me a break. Use some common sense before you decide to post your ideas.

I say no.

I know he's not the best blocking TE, but he gives us a great mismatch against LB's.

please help me out because I can't think of many. The guy has played really well this year, and while the thought of him as a full-time WR is silly....the fact that they play him split out wide often, proves that it is something he can do.

He's too slow, a corner would know where he was going before even he knew. He is best matched up with a short LB.
