Explain to me NBA LOTTO?

worst team gets the most ping pong balls. the team with the best recrod who didn't make the playoffs gets the fewest.

They only draw the Top 3. So 3 ping pong balls are selected. For picks 1,2,3.

After that, picks 4 through the end are decided on record.

One more thing that you need to know about the lottery....

If your team is from a large market, or has a market that the NBA wants to exploit......they rig it only in years that there is a big time transcending player.

It's called the Knick Rule.

I thought officially it was called "The Ewing Rule."

Seriously have they opened that up to outside witnesses yet? Or is the whole selection process still behind closed doors?

if it was rigged then why did Tim Duncan go to SA and not Boston in the year Boston had the most ping pong balls!?!?!!!!

Please.......

Why is it so far fetched to believe that the team with the 3rd worst record in the league could win the lottery? You act like the Knicks were a team who just missed the playoffs that year and won the lottery which wasn't the case. They had 24 wins that year, 2 more then the Pacers and Warriors who had the worst records in the league. How is that rigged?
