Besides being a division game with the hated Jets, it's a game that gets us potentially to .500 on the year and a much needed division win with 2 Road games on the west coast looming..........Confidence should be high but execution is the key. RT needs to have a big game as Ajayi will certainly have a big red bulls eye on his back. Ryan Fitzpatrick, no superstar, tends to play well against the Fins and we must put him on his back and remember he has no proven backup waiting to takeover if he gets hurt. Let's all rally around our Fins because this could be a turning point of the year where we can either ascend to bigger and better things or we could go back and wallow in mediocrity once again. I choose the former.........who's with me?????????:hump::hump:

Time to seperate the men from the boys! I hope we walk away with this win!

My thought are miami needs to go 4 and 1 or 3 and 2 in the next 5 cause the final 4 games are setting up to be a grind with at the jets at buffalo and vs new england if they are playing for something

It's unbelievable how fast the weeks go by. I can't believe that the season is in it's second half and winding down quickly.

I think we can get the win, but at what cost? Injuries always tend to occur in these divisional games.

Win or lose, buckle up for a complete overreaction following the game.

Midpoint of the season now, we can all begin to make some strong assessments on the this team. Especially on an important divisional game.

At this point, it's only an "overreaction" if someone doesn't like hearing the praise or criticism.

Will be interesting to see how our coaches used the BYE week to prepare for a huge game like this. Will tell us a lot.

Long term, the best thing a win in this game does is give credence to Gase as a person who can turn this team around. Quiets the buzzards perpetually circling the coaches of this team.

As a fan, I LOVE that this team finally has a coach cutting the mediocre players on it. If there is anything the Patriots should have taught the league it is to give young players a shot and not stay too beholden to underperforming veterans.

Agreed. It's not as if we've earned credibility either way yet. A team still searching for success, an identity, is going to be judged week by week. This game is huge.

3-2 over the next 5 leaves us out of the playoffs. We would be 6-6 with the pats, cards, At the jets and AT the bills left. That would mean we had to go 2-2 just to end up at 8-8. We have to get hot now and go 4-1 over the next 5 to even be in the running. Today is the first must win of the season. A loss today and I will be pulling for draft position losses the rest of the way.

If we don't win, then not only is our season over but it will have been extremely costly for the missed opportunity to trade guys like Pouncey, Wake, possibly Albert for mid-round picks and salary cap relief for 2017.
Now, there's no guarantee that we can't just bring these guys back for another run next season but all three are expensive, old and injury-prone AF, and the likelihood of getting full value from them during 2017, assuming they even make it through the rest of 2016 is minimal at best.
Those picks in the 3rd and 4th round we could've gotten for these guys could've greatly helped rebuild for 2017. We could draft a guard and center and defensive helper with those picks. Young, inexpensive players to supplement our currently scheduled draft order status opportunities. Then, maybe, we won't have to trade down, which I think we currently have to.
Plus, we could draft a potentially better QB than what we'll be able to, currently because I still can't see eating 17 mil against the cap to retain Tannehill and totally knee-capping our 2017 roster.
If we can run the ball well, we don't need Drew Brees at QB. Heck, give me Matt Moore with a good running game vs Tannehill without one every day of the week.
Matt Moore + strong running game + better defense = a much better team than we've had for Tannehill's whole tenure.

Alas, here we are competing for the Wild Card fringe in 2016 with a lean cupboard to improve 2017.
We now depend on old, injury-plagued guys to contribute through 2017, though all 3 are very likely to retire after this season if they have any injury setbacks whatsoever.

Hope we win today. The whole henhouse is in the 2016 basket.

This is so over dramaric. Why is it wildcard or bust? What's wrong with finding an identity with a new, young head coach and carrying some momentum into 2017? That sounds like a good outcome to me. Playoffs are a bonus.

Agreed. There is an opportunity for creative use of mismatches today.

I am interested in how the players used the extra time. Does Rambo make a big impact? Can Maxwell play more effectively within the variety of coverages. Can Butler play faster? Does the addition of Vigil and Duarte to special teams improve the performance?

.

You are 100% wrong! We have to stop the churn. I want to keep Pouncey, Tunsil, and Albert together for two more years. I want a stable effective offensive line. Our biggest problem over the last 10 years is churn.
