oh yay, another Elliott thread

That's what trolls do......troll other peoples comments. I'd be pretty negative if I lived in the UK too though.

Everyone is so concerned with Elliott, but the best RB in this draft is Kenneth Dixon.

Yea, I'm always getting the two confused...

OK, which one ran for back to back 1,800-yard seasons against the best in college football and which one went to the small school and has fumbling and pass protection problems? I only mention this because our QB is being sacked about 50 times a year

OP could have at least added this to another post. No reason to create an entire thread for one sentence!

I don't think he was trolling for one second Scotty. I felt the same way. No offense to OP at all.

I don't know about the best, but he's closer to Elliot than people seem to think.

You guys are in the vast minority with this opinion. Not sure how you believe he even comes close when factoring in blocking, pass protection, receving skills, and impact without the ball in their hands. Elliott is far more well rounded at this point in time, not too mention that he's been vetted against stiffer competition.

Everyone is so concerned with Elliott, but the best RB in this draft is Kenneth Dixon.

The best rb out of everyone in this draft is right is in our locker room, Jay Ajayi.

Go back and look at the draft mouths and magazines, had it nor been for all the bone on bone knees b/s, ajayi would have been a top 3 pick and the arguement would have been who is 1/a and who is 1/b between him and gurly.

As most draft blogs, mouths, mags, tv gurus say, elliot is a really good back but.........,but......., he is NO todd gurly!!! And they are correct. He is not. So, the question now is, why are so many so ganked on taking a rb, especially that early who isnt in the class of the one we already have, that thanks to some lunk head deciding a cracked rib should bench him half the year instead the two weeks tops as it should have been, we didnt get to see him in but a SMALL portion of a SMALL handfull of games and not given enough carries to get him into a groove that rb's need. But those small glimpses.... if you payed attention......., DANG!!

It wasnt his knee that kept him out. It was being jumped on with the ball under him cracking a rib. And jay said it was major frustration and according to him, "if i was wrapped up good, i could have played the next week and would have if it was in the season, big game. But half a season, that was hard".

Knees are no issue, even he said he had zero pain or stiffness during the year and all the bone on bone was complete nonsense. So why the hell do all you guys want to spend a high round pick on a rb, especially one not in ajayi's league?

And the fact we have nothing special at corner or lb or guard should tell everyone rb shouldnt even be in their minds. I would wait for cuts and not even bother with rb on a draft pic. Ajayi definately needs a quality partner for sure, but, they will be around, there is always someone available during the cuts. There will be one or two better than the backups we have now who will be better partners for jay than whats behind him now.

Come on people.

Dixon is not the blocker that Elliott is, but it's not a weak area/concern for him. Dixon posted 969 yards receiving and 15 receiving TD's - compared to 449 and 1 for Elliott. Dixon is also the better athlete with better career production. They're closer than people think.

Not really....it's a Kenneth Dixon thread ....probably could have titled it differently but it seems to me you bash just about everything anyway so....I hope if we draft a rb it's in the mid rounds....If Elliot is there at 13 I hope someone else wants him enough to trade up for.....love his talent but we are not a rb away from being a contender...I like Dixon though just not sure where he is projected to go...I think Dixon's skill set is better than most people realize and with Ajayi being our number one I believe we need draft a guy with a good skill set that can be coached up
