I believe that, with or without Suh, we still sign a top FA CB among Flowers, Maxwell, Culliver, Jackson and Cromarte. There is just too much available talent there, this year, to pass on.

I'm guessing we bring Delmas back. He played well and would give us a rock solid secondary.

We will sign a vet MLB, maybe Harris. With Jenkins and Misi/Jordan, that's a much improved LB crew.

I expect us to keep Shelby, and maybe add a cheap vet DT with Suh IF that works out.

On O, we will add a vet RB, and a cheaper vet OG.

Hopefully, with or without Wallace, we add one of the top three WR's with our top pick.

Get this done, and I'm ready to be watching the Dolphins in the playoffs, and will bet on it.

Very doable deals, with Suh being the BIG question. And we can also keep Wallace for this year, IF we want to.

If we Manage to make all of those moves while keeping Wallace for 2015 ....

Id be very surpsised if we don't make the playoffs

I'll be very surprised if we're under the salary cap...or can sign our draft picks.

Doable with Harris wanting 6 to 8 million and probably wanting to sign with Buffalo or New York? What is the story on the linebacker from the Saints, Lofton? He apparently is on the trading block or possible cap casualty cut?

I go back to what I posted before. We signed Wallace, Albert, and Wake for a combined $10M as a first year cap hit.

FWIW, the draft will cost us a net of around $3M.

Yes.

You can go back to what you posted all day...still not going to add up to have those many inflated contracts on the roster and sign our draft picks...which I've seen would cost us about $5 million from Barry Jackson.

There's still Clay, Tannehill and Pouncey who need long term contracts.

The other thing is we've pretty much told Odrick (by pursuing Suh) that he's not coming back next year...if we fail to sign Suh we've got no other options except the draft.

wait...... there are other FA signing possibilities besides Suh???

I think we would have a good shot at brandon flowers, hes from delray beach and might want to come home.

Really like Flowers and potentially drafting Parker. Would love to grab Denzel Perryman in the second round and Duke Johnson in the 3rd. Guard really needs to be addressed though.
Doubt Perryman and Duke fall to us at those spots.

With the looming possibility of Suh coming, I can't think of any other FA at this time.

lol... you have to, otherwise just signing Suh is going to leave us many many holes where Suh would literally need to be our savior. wouldnt be good

Well I disagree with the notion that we would sign one of the top CB's in FA after Suh, we still would be able to sign our draft class fine.

The draft picks count against our top 51, so they knock off similar deals so it isn't the full $5M.

If Clay nets a long-term extension it would lower his cap hit this year, saving us money. Same goes for Pouncey. Tannehill is the only one who would get a raise, but they'd probably keep his hit around the same.

If we fail to sign Suh there's still plenty of options...don't really get your point there. Knighton is an option if the Raiders decide to pursue Suh. You can sign Nick Fairley, Dan Williams, C.J. Mosley or Corey Peters. You can restructure Starks and keep him at 3-tech. I'm a big Kenrick Ellis fan. If we signed him, he'd be cheap and would help the run D. Then you can play Mitchell and Starks at 3-tech or cut Starks and sign Peters. We have some good youth behind them and DE's who can play inside on passing downs. There's a fair amount of options at DT...

I also think it's very logical to backload contracts. I hope we don't try to do it the same way we did with Wallace tho...it's too short sighted. I like backloaded but not with like a $1M cap hit and a $16M cap hit the next year...illogical to me. Spread it out a bit better.
