FA Top 5 Wishlist Poll

I really get the feeling, that Philbin will make our 'Boys even more of a family than they already are(like the 'Niners)!!! I'm really excited with what's finally happening, and the direction we're headed.........LONNNNNNG OVERDUE!!!

Flynn might be a possibility but not a for sure thing cuz i have a feeling he is going to want Kolb type money and the redskins love to throw money at guys so lets see. Finley isnt going anywhere and niether are any of the G or T's u mentioned. Bowe would be ok but he is also going to want big time money and i would rather try to make a move for D. Jackson and sign him to a big contract then Bowe. And as much as everyone doesnt want it to happen a First round olinemen is probably going to be the pick we make unless someone really good slips.

I would move up, but not for LUCK or RGIII. I'd move up for BLACKMON. It has to cost less to only have to move up to #4 or #5. I'd do it.

In F/A, I'd go after a topshelf G or T, and M WILLIAMS BIGTIME.

If Coach PHILBIN can bring in FLYNN for us, fine: I'm ok w/it. But i/m/o, FLYNN isn't MIAMI's top need, nor even its 2nd or 3rd top need. M MOORE's excellent performance last season, even w/an Albatross like COLUMBO hanging around his neck, PROVES that much. Think of it this way: how would MOORE have done in GB, w/that O-Line and weapons like FLYNN had; and how would FLYNN do w/MIAMI's weapons, and COLUMBO/CAREY guarding his right side?

We absolutely NEED a second OLB pass-rusher. In that part of his game, MISI's a BUST, and IKOOKOO IMMA FRENCHFRY (or whatever his name is) can't fill that role. And we don't have JT (7 sacks in limited duty) anymore. So, if MIAMI ever hopes to compete w/TOMMY BOY and the PATRIOTS, we'd better find another solid pass rushing OLB. I'd go after ANY top F/A OLB w/a vengeance.

A playmaking FS, and/or a SS to replace BELL (who can't cover his a** anymore) is another MAJOR need.

Lastly, CLYDE GATES is supposedly depveloping. I hope so, because this season, he contributed NOTHING as a WR. He didn't blow the top off of ANY zones/coverages, and he didn't take any heat off of MARSHALL. I'd MOVE UP in the Draft, but NOT to get LUCK or RGIII. I'd move up to get BLACKMON, which should be a little easier and cheaper. With my 2nd Pick, I'd be hoping for a shot at WEEDEN or TANNEHILL.

wouldn't it be cheaper to go with decastro or another interior OL in the draft. I don't think the contract would be quite like what it will take to get nicks or grubbs. I think the price you pay for the OL in free agency won't be worth it, when compared to spending the big money on a WR or Pass rush and getting OL in teh draft.

to me there are two scenarios IF you are only talking WR and OL...
1. draft a WR and give a lucrative deal to nicks or grubbs and I don't see a jeffrey or floyd having the impact a bowe would.

2. draft a OL and sign dwayne bowe to a free agent deal. To me you won't get the same from floyd compared to bowe, as you would decastro or basically any wisconsin lineman to nicks for your money...

explain to me again why you would waste a draft pick on weeden or tannehilll when by your standards matt moore played "excellent"... and not go with flynn who is a free agent and wouldn't cost a draft pick unless he was tagged? If we already knew that flynn was tagged or tendered and would cost picks I could see the logic. flynn can step in day one, you don't know that with weeden or tannehill.... I do agree with being all over blackmon though.

My REALISTIC list: (Finley, Welker and Bowe aren't going anywhere)

1. Matt Flynn (If he's Philbin's guy, and he can run that offense, I'm all for it)
2. Carl Nicks (Arguably top guard in the league right now, no question he's top 5)
3. Martellus Bennett (Could explode as the #1 guy in the right offense)
4. Donald Driver (Still has plenty in the tank, can come in right away and help young WR's learn offense, possibly start)
5. Depth on OL or DL

Flynn is possible, but I don't see the Texans letting Williams get away. Hes an important part to that defense.

Actually I do see them letting him go, or should i say they will let him walk if his demands are too high. Reasoning behind my thought process is that they have conner barwin and jj watt at the end positons and both did a tremendous job, i think if the bidding for williams get to high they say the money for other needs. jmo

I like your list petty well although I'm not particullarly sure about Bennett. He has had issues with drops and just overall seems to lack focus. I think Nicks would be a tremendous upgrade but he would be very pricey and likely will still be in NO come next season. If Philbin thinks Flynn can be the guy I would trust him because if anyone knows it would be him. As soon as we hired Philbin I was immediately intrigued with Driver as reorts say he could be let go by GB. I also believe he's still a decent reciever but the knowledge he could provide our recieving corp on this offense would be irreplaceable. Depth is always a need.

I also could see this as well. After Williams was injured the Texans defense still carried on at a very high level. I think Houston is going to need to spend some money in order to get a serious recieving threat to put on the other side of AJ. It also would have helped them greatly to have someone to play while he was hurt.

Its fun to make these lists and every year we basically don't get anyone. Only that one special year with Dansby and Marshall. But to get all those guys would never happen. You act like its an uncapped year, every single year.

We got Dansby as a FA but we traded for Marshall.

a very under the radar player that would be a huge pickup... OLB Ahmad brooks from the 49ers
