Hey guys. It's been a while, as usual, but I wanted to give you props for signing Steve Fafita, the UDFA out of Utah. Great signing for you guys. He's somewhat undersized, but he has a great motor. I saw him ply a couple times lst year, and he always looked good. While I didn't think much of the Dolphins draft, I did think that this was a good signing.

That's good to hear, because I don't know to much about him. So it's good to hear something positive.

yea i havnt really heard from him so getting a compliment from a jets fan on the signing must mean hes got some potential

Good to hear some positives about Fafita, good sign. Gotta give you guys some props on your draft, too...D-Brick is gonna be a star, and Mangold and Clemens are pretty dang talented themselves. Good way for Mangini to start out.

Thanks for the compliment. I also really like Fifita. He's a little short, but besides that, he's a prototypical NT. Lots of hustle and a good motor. I have to admit I did like the Jets' draft. Shored up the OL, and I like Brad Smith.

You didn't think much of:

1) Jason Allen
2) Daunte Culpepper
3) Derek Hagan
4) Joe Toledo
5) Manny Wright
6) Cleo Lemon
7a) Fred Evans
7b) Rodrique Wright
7c) Devin Aromashodu

I think thats a pertty damn good draft if you ask me Allen has first round talent, Daunte was a steal for a second and brings mind numbuing #'s with his three probowls and starting experience, Hagan is the all time pac 10 leading WR and his last three years in school he had over a 1000 yrds. Toledo is a project but he was hand picked by Houck....whats not to love about that? Manny Wright has a ways to go, but he was projected a lot higher then a 5th round pick. Rodirique Wright could be the steal of the draft given we got him in the middle of the 7th round.

So what don't you like about our draft the fact that we didn't have two first round picks?? Or the fact that you are like most rival fans and refuse to see the forrest for the trees??? Don't just come here and say you didn't like our draft just because other Jet fans say it or because you're a Jet fan, elaborate and give us an educated opinion. I'll respect your opinion if it's well thought out and not full of childish innuendos.

Other than Ferguson and Mangold the Jets draft was awful.

They didn't do nearly enough to plug their numerous holes. Clemens is OK. Ferguson and Mangold were obvious picks. Didn't take a lot of scouting to pick those 2.

Speaking from experience, Fifita has a motor that never stops and an aggressive attitude you would equate with a D lineman. .

I really don't think that his height will be a problem. The lower center of gravity might cause centers and guarfd fits.

He IMO is better than Pouha (also from the U of Utah) who the jets drafted in 2005

I think they will kick themselves in a couple years for not taking lienart.
