Anybody hear that the botched FG was going to be a fake? Armando just put out a story and stated it was in fact a fake attempt apparently gone bad.

Watch it again. Sturgis made a move to run around fields when the ball was snapped. Also, the 2 guys outside at the LOS looked to be starting to run a route

So this is why Fields wasn't watching the snap??? Got it.

Oh, it went bad alright. At least we can laugh about it now since it didn't cost the Dolphins the game.

I need to find a clip of that to rewatch.

Even though it didn't work, that was a pretty gusty call against the pats.
I can't lie, if I saw Sturgis holding the ball and about to pass, I probably would have fainted!
That guy makes me nervous enough kicking the ball! :)

It looked like Fields would have handled the ball and passed it. Actually, the way Sturgis started running, I wouldn't have been surprised if Fields did one of those flip the ball over his head to the kicker moves that works in college ball every once in a while.

A poster mentioned that in a thread yesterday. He said he was friends with someone working for the Phins and who was on the sideline yesterday. Of course everyone called him a fake moron...maybe he was right?

This is the creativity needed to make and go far in the playoffs. Keep them guessing. Although it did not work, points for trying. And if the Bills or Jets spend time defending it in practice, then that's more time they don't spend defending other areas.

Thanks for the link!
Definitely a fake...wow, imagine if it was actually executed correctly!
That would have been insane!

Nice to see the play was at least called to try it...
