The two worst teams of 2007 were the two surprise playoff teams of 2008 while we were both in our first rebuilding year. 2009 is looking different though, Dolphins are 0-3 behind the Jaguars and Lions, the Falcons are 2-1 and look like playoff contenders again. Atlanta also kicked our *** week 1.
The question is why are they ahead of us? Is it as simple as it being Matt Ryan? Who, by the way, we could have drafted. Jake Long is great, but it is much harder to find a franchise QB. You can see that Ryan is a franchise QB, from the very first game he played last year. We'll see what Henne does in his first full game next week, I really doubt he is as good as Ryan. First Brees, now Ryan. Two franchise QB's we could've had the past 4 years. It's amazing to think of the great players we passed on the past 10 years. (and, of course, the ones we threw away like Wes Welker.)
 
We will get our turn. If Henne stinks (witch i hope he doesnt) how about Colt McCoy.

And it dosent rhyme with Bill Parcells is a stupid fatass piece of **** who cant draft for **** despite the myth that he can.
 
Matt Ryan is a great young QB but he has a lot of help around him too. Michael Turner is an excellent RB and the Falcons defense has stepped up it's game too.

Look at Mark Sanchez, see what he's been able to do with a quality running game/defense to help him out? Flacco too.

It's not just draft a QB and watch the magic happen. I like Matt Ryan as much as the next guy, but taking Jake Long wasn't a mistake, he's an excellent player on a team that has very few.

Perhaps we wouldn't be questioning Chad Pennington or Chad Henne if they were surrounded by talent such as Tony Gonzalez and Roddy White. I'm in no way insinuating that Matt Ryan is a product of talent around him, but he's definitely been placed into a less flammable situation than someone like Ryan Leaf or something.

Exactly, if the Dolphins took Matt Ryan last year, there is no guarantee he would have enjoyed the same success as he has had with the Falcons. The Falcons have more playmakers with Michael Turner, Roddy White, and Michael Jenkins from last year and added Tony Gonzalez for this year. Part of the success of a QB is the talent around you and Miami lacks talent all over the place.
 
He does have a better team around him. Though, we do have the 3rd most rushing yards in the NFL. we SHOULD be 1-2. Things aren't all bad. It's just upsetting that they could and should be better. And we could've gotten Tony Gonzalez in the offseason. That would have helped us.

Bill Parcells is crowned some genius based off 2 world titles he won as a COACH. He has never been great at selecting players. He gets too much credit off a ****ing sound bite.

At least let you shop for groceries huh. Well Bill, youre a ****ty shopper. Just because you use coupons(make clever trades and collect picks.....buy one get one free) you still **** it all up. Mother ****er Im baking a ham here(trying to win a title) I needed brown sugar(matt Ryan) and you come back with this confectionary ****(Jake Long).

Just because you use coupons, dosent a smart shopper you make. Now youre good at drafting some guys on defense(you do nice with snacks and beverage selection) but you **** up the main course. You couldnt select a playmaker on offense if youre life depended on it.

Nice picks on Langford and Merling Bill. Smith and Davis could be good as well. But, your free agency sucks and so does your passing on Matt Ryan. So just steer the ****ing cart like youre supposed to and quit trying to select the groceries.

Get back on the sideline and coach the team. Relieve those idiots you have steering the cart now. You let the kids steer the cart and they are running into **** and youre ****ing up the grocery selection. You be the man and drive the cart for your wife, put the kids in the cart and tell them what to do, and let the wife pick the groceries.
