"ESPNews reports Atlanta Falcons restricted free agent QB Matt Schaub will be tendered a one-year qualifying offer of more than $2.35 million by the team. Should another team sign Schaub away from the Falcons, they would receive a first- and third-round pick in return."

exactly what everyone thought they would do, this is why he's probably not going anywhere. a 1st and a 3rd is alot to give up for a guy who is unproven. not to mention that any team interested would have to work out a long term contract with Schuab

They did this so that they can trade him to ensure that they get something in return for him.
