Junior Seau has made a career out of gambling and guessing, and he's on his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Even at 36, Seau remains one of the game's most instinctive linebackers. But new Dolphins coach Nick Saban doesn't have much tolerance for players who don't follow their assignments exactly the way they're supposed to and leave gaps or zones unattended. So far this season, Seau has played well and hasn't hurt the Dolphins too badly by being out of position, in part because veteran MLB Zach Thomas is able to compensate. But it won't be surprising if this becomes a point of contention between Seau and Saban at some point. . . .

I say blehhhh.

i think, if there are 3 players the coach should NOT yell at is Taylor, Thomas, and Seau.

Here is proof that wherever LaVar Arrington ends up, it won't be here. If Seau is too much of a freelancer for Saban's tastes, Arrington would drive him insane with rage.

thats a reach for a story if I ever saw one...predicting a feud? kinda dumb...especially involving a player who really is a nice guy who wants to help the team.

Nonsense, crap, prevarication. Seau freelanced in San Diego because it was in the Chargers best interest, and he performed while doing it. When he came to Miami, he played and played pretty well in a scheme in which he couldnt, and didnt freelance under Wannstedt.

Saban wouldnt move Seau to strongside linebacker from weakside/ILB if he freelanced too much.

Yeah I agree that is a reach. Seau is too small a part of this defense really for there to be any major falling out between Saban and Seau.

Besides, I'm sure Seau will be gone next season. I really wish we could somehow manage to get Julian Peterson though...

that "article" is a piece of crap. the author even says that its been fine, but might be a problem later. you could switch names seau and saban with any player and coach in the league and have the same pointless, nonexistent story.

what i will say is that if seau played, pittman would not have borke that long run. he would've stuck him after taylor missed, not whiffed like crowder.
