I'm watching the dvr of the fins/pats game and Jake Long moved before the snap on the 4th and 6 pass to Camarillo on our game winning drive. Not that it matters because they didn't call it. Just an observation.

Agreed... i noticed it at the time, then confirmed it when i watched the replay over and over again. He was definitely a split second early but this is what happens when you're a pro bowl guy. Refs start to give you benefit of the doubt.

I've seen opponent defenses go offsides like 5 times this season and it wasn't called so what ever.

not only on that play, but it seems like jake is trying to steal the snap count from henne ... he's done it like 2-3 times againsnt new england...

maybe he just times his start better than the other olinemen... and playing with henne for 5 years now, he must be used to his tone and cadence for the snaps... ! (a wild guess... but not too farfetched)

i saw it, but i dont care bc there was a bs penalty called against us on the ineligeble man downfield, when we wouldve gotten the ball bc of a roughing the punter.

Jake Long looks like he false starts a lot because he always takes that quick jump outside RIGHT as the ball is snapped to give him an opportunity to handle the speed rushers.

However, on that particular play, it did look like he was early. I mumbled it under my breath after the snap and was surprised when the play wasn't blown dead. I guess the officials have gotten used to seeing Long take that fast initial step.

If it was the other way around we'd be pretty livid. But in the end it all evens out - some go your way and others don't.

So true I think he false starts a lot cause of that and I am always wrong cause its never called its like simultanious with the ball being snapped that huge kick step back

I have a game day thread on the game currently playing on NFL Replay.
