I'm gonna be down here to visit friends over the weekend of the Dolphins training camp fan appreciation day. I might decide to go with my kid, can any of you give me any advice? Is fan appreciation day just one big autograph session, do they actually practice?

Any help here is appreciated, thanks.

I haven't been to one in years (moved across the country) so this info may be outdated, but it used to be a practice, a select-a-seat sales event and great autograph session. I have a Marino signed football from one of the events.

What are you talking about exactly? Fan Appreciation Day was months ago. They have nothing scheduled that I am aware of that says anything about a Fan Appreciation Day.

The Dolfan Club has a BBQ the day before a pre-season game. Is that what you are talking about?

:missmeth: I am wondering what you are talking about also. I know of nothing scheduled here at the training camp this weekend other than Jr. Cheer camp. If you let me know where you got the info I can hopefully put you in the correct direction.

Well they have season ticket holder appreciation day with events and some players for autographs earlier in the year which was really fun. It was the first speech from saban to the fans.

Are you talking about the fan appreciation/practice at dolphins stadium? If so I wasn't sure there was one. they are usually pretty fun, although i would tell you right off the bat JT, ZT, and most of the super popular players don't sit in the autograph booths. A fun day regardless though

fan appreciation day is on Aug 5 (friday) at dolphins stadium for the night practice that starts at 7pm,. that is the only practice held at the stadium the rest r at the training facility.

Yes that's what I'm talking about. There is one.

They will be practicing and you can sit in the stands and watch practice. As for Autographs... years past I personally never saw a way to get autographs. But everything is different this year so it may be a possiblity.
I think the best way to get autographs is to come out to the practice facility in Davie. They have made the signing fence opening longer so it is easier for the fans.
The schedule of pracices are available in the Dolphin's web site or here is a snap shot of that weekends schedule:
Friday Aug 5 9:30-11:30 am at the Training Facility in Davie
7:00-9:00 pm @ Dolphins Staduim
Sat Aug 6th 3:00-5:00 pm @ Training Facility in Davie
Sun Aug 7th 9:30- 11:00am @ Training Facility in Davie
I hope I helped!!

I went a couple of years ago. The best part about it is, you can sit real close to whatever endzone they are practicing towards, and see and hear everything that is going on super clearly. When I went, there probably wasn't 50 people watching the practice.

That was an afternoon practice so, there might be a few more at an evening practice but, you should still be able to get as close as you want.

Quite a few players, came up to the wall to sign autographs, I know Surtain, Greenwood, and Taylor did....No Ricky or Zach though....

Proshopgirl,

Does the pro shop sell the jerseys that the Dolphins practice in or do you know where I can get one?

Thanks.

I have last years practice jerseys. Most of the Starters are gone. They are 49.99 for tier 2 players 59.99 for 1st tier.
You can pm me or call the shop and we will be able to see if we have your fav. player or number.

Is this like Family Day?
Do they still do Family Day?
I was a kid the last time I went. I only remember the fans being let onto the field and the players set up at tables around the field signing autographs.
