i wasnt a big fan of this draft like some others, but can we all just please have faith in our front office and stop all the questioning and root for our new boys?

GO DOLPHINS!!!:woot:

well the point is to stop the run when u stop the run everything else will fall into place!! look at why our defense lost games at the end last year... couldnt get any stops...

Although I may not have agreed with every pick, I fully support everything we have done this weekend. Good job front office.

I think this organization is trying to self destruct. You have a chance to draft a once a decade back like Darren McFadden and we draft Tony Mandrich instead. You simply NEVER pass on a chance to add a "Bo Jackson" to your team and McFadden is it. And then to take two RB's that couldn't carry McFaddens jock strap. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!! We will regret this draft for years to come.

Not taking McFadden was not the bad decision of the draft, Long will really help our running game, the absolute bad decision of the draft is no WR or CB, hands down! I am completely urrrggged by it!

haha well the point of this thread is to be optimistic... we may not agree with everything, but at least we can show our support :hi5:

:hi5: Yo man, I'm on board. This was a great draft. Stop the run, protect the QB, run the ball. Whats not to like?

Last season our staff said they wanted to build from "the middle on out" when they talked about the O-line.

They drafted a center named Samson Satele who was a wonderful rookie.

Fast forward a year later, and our team was just a hair from being 0-16. Just an awful season.. Our lines were a mess. Teams were running on us like a hot knife through soft butter.. Our O-line was a disaster.. Our QB's had NO TIME to throw DESPITE the coaches sizing down the playbook for short quick passing plays..

Considering all this, our staff this year decided to build the entire team "from the middle on out".. The middle is the O-lines and D-lines.. The middle is the QB ( he is under center afterall and we got Henne).. The middle is also the running backs (they line up directly behind the middle of the line).

One thing is for sure.. We have solidified the middle.. This was needed for a team that was a hair from going 0-16.. We have O-line depth now. We have D-line depth. We have QB depth. And we have RB depth.. We actually are strong in some positions now. Which is alot more than what I could have said about this team before the draft.

It's a start. A wide receiver would have never made us into a SB contender. We did the right thing in this draft.. Built from the middle (or inside) on out. And we will build the outer posrtions of the team later after the middle is built with very good football players there.

couldnt agree with you more! nice thinking

I think this draft was respectable. With our four picks IMO very strong but after that a slight drop off when there were still great players on the board. I really think we got great picks in Phillip Merling and Chad Henne due to where we got them. Merling was definately a first rounder and we stole him in the second. We couldve drafted Henne at 32 but we got him with our last second round pick which was also a good move. My sleeper is Parmale, power runner who looks like a shifty runner for his size watching some of his runs. All and all, a good foundation draft.

I thought we had a great draft. We solidified our O-line and Front 7 which is what this team needed for years. Our Defensive front 7 is going to be monstrous (in stature and hopefully also in ability).

Only thing I questioned was drafting the second of the backs (Lex), but even that is growing on me.

Knowing Parcells, we will add a few more undrafted free agents (hopefully a corner and wide out) and our Miami Dolphins will be looking a lot more solid than it has at any point this century.
