Fans were chanting Daunte's name...

I think. I was watching one of the "locker room interview" things on MD.com after the game, and one of the questions was how did it make him feel to hear that as he walked off the field with his first W as a phin. Can anyone who stayed the whole game confirm or deny this? :dolphins:

i was there well after the game was over, for at least 10 min. and i didnt hear it, maybe it was on the other side of the stadium, but then again i was drinking since 9 am

well probably the same goes for the ones chanting joey's name (a miami reporter said it was literally a group of 15-20) yet every media outlet spews that out as if it were 60k fans in unison.

but seriously, i am 90% sure i heard that question right to daunte.....i think it was mostly because he iced the game with a nice throw to welker for the win. just curious.

During the introductions he got a big applause and he was pumped up, but after the game I doubt anybody was chanting his name, at least I did'nt hear it. And for your info it was 7 hours of hard drinking in the hot sun.:drinker:

I was in the tunnel after the game. Our group of about 30 were chanting his name. :yes:

Not sure about the field part, as I was in the tunnel already.

Thanks muck, I found the vid and they do ask him that question. It won't let me link to it, but if you go to the sun sentinel section on the right hand side list of vid's there is a "locker room: culpepper" vid and its 2:10 into the interview.

I was in the 400 section and there wasa pretty loud chante-Daunte! Daunte!
What I thought was funny was these were the very same people who were calling for Joey earlier in the game.

then you guys were the only ones chanting his name...b/c i heard no chanting of his name..i did hear joey and some boos tho...and you gotta love the hot weather that makes the girls wear barely any clothes..there was a cheering section for drew bennet and those girls were hot as hell

I was at the game and I didnt hear it. I left as soon as the game was officialy over (0:00 time left).

But during the pre-game intros, the fans cheered for him the loudest.
