Farmer AND Xanders both a possibility

Maybe Gaines has already told them he's leaving if he is by passed for the position.

Floria can turn a trip to Starbucks to get coffee into a full blown soap opera. Nobody speculates more drama, no one uses more conjecture than Mike Florio.
 
I like that Farmer has success in FA. Like it or not, Miami needs to score here to catch up to other successful teams.

We need to score in both FA and draft and no one can say we have really been that great in either.
This years draft class didn't get minimal play because we had so many studs blocking their way

I wouldn't doubt that but if he doesn't get the job its obvious the team does not have designs on him to move up to the next position.
I personally could care less if he left because he has had some hand in our mess. I would have had no problem if they gave him a chance either.
Ireland is gone and Im still on a personal high from that. Not sure why our team has such a tough time firing people that don't perform
 
They would have to both be GMs to avoid a lateral move, and we know they can both be GMs, so I'm not sure how a move to bring them both in on he football side could be possible.

that sounds like a "i didnt do it, he did it, that wasnt my responsibility" clusterfugg!! a quagmire of insufficiency!!

a nightmare scenario that makes ross a BIGGER laughing stock and gives absolute credability to the "gm talent wants nothing to do with the dolphins wacky front office structure" talk.

HIRE A GM WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DRAFT AND PLAYERS. one guy, one place where it all starts and ends. when the failures and successes come in, there is NO guessing who was responsible.

and as far as BRIAN GAINE being "assistant gm", that was part of the ireland structure. i see him without that title as ross has said the new gm would have FULL autonomy and answer only to him.

as it should be. and i am sure he has been advised to do so from people around the league.

wouldn't that be the czar approach thus making the thought "the GM will report to me" kind of moot
 
After watching a minute of their videos if this happens I think Farmer would be the "czar" and Xander would be the GM. I put czar in quotes because I doubt Farmer would have any real power, he would be more the face of the franchise/adviser to Ross. I say this because I think Xander would only come here if he gets final say on personnel, the problem with him is he doesn't seem comfortable on camera but he must be real smart when it comes to selecting players and building a roster. So Xander would be the behind the scenes mastermind and Farmer would be fan friendly face.

Would love it if this happens.
