Fasano blasts Dolphins for doing Hard Knocks

Players on sub-.500 teams don't have street cred. Shad-dup millionaires playing in an empty stadium!! ... Go call someone who gives a f***!!

Oh boo hoo. Maybe if below average players like Fasano would step up once in a while, help the team get over .500, and not completely crap the bed on national television, Hard Knocks wouldn't be necessary to excite a lethargic, apathetic fanbase.

I think the "distraction" excuse for Hard Knocks is overplayed as is "competiitive advantage". I don't think the Jets lost the AFC Champioship game in 2010 because they were on hard Knocks.

Honestly I think this is probably Fasano's last season in Miami. Nothing to do with his Hard Knocks comments but because he will be a free agent after the season and because they have added so much youth to the position. Clay came on late last season and has reportedly been doing very well in offseason workouts. Obviously we just spent a 3rd round pick on Egnew and guys like Brown and Yeatman are intriguing future prospects.

I will say this about his comments, probably better if he didn't take the negative route. Even if he doesn't agree with doing it, he should just keep his mouth shut. No need to create negative press.

It's not just the media...you even rationalize comments from your own players...

Did you folks think everyone would be happy with Hard Knocks? Do you really think that he is the only one? Did you guys really think Hard Knocks was just going to put the Dolphins in a "good light." Well it isn't. This won't be the last of issues related to doing this...so be prepared...

This is like a few years back when our kicker (Jay Feely) thought he spoke for the entire team...when in reality, nobody cared what Jay had to say.

90%? I can tell you that the 40 or so players (of the 90) that are on the bubble are probably excited about it because they will get a chance to show their ability in more than just preseason games. Don't think Danny Woodhead got picked up by the Patriots after being on Hard Knocks with the Jets because the Patriots "saw something special" in him just from his limited time in preseason games.

Much like the OP who I suppose is trying to get a gig on ESPN by coming up with sensationalist titles that exaggerate the true meaning of the story, you have gone overboard with you assumption of 90%.

Talk about nic picking. Geez guy. I think you got the gist of what I was saying.. THE VAST MAJORITY of the team, I guarantee you, probably do not want to do it. And it's bad timing for this team.

fasano should have kept his mouth shut and supported coach philbins decision. Most likely, he will be cut now. We are set at the tight end position and had no need for fasano before this, but this is just the icing on the cake. Get these dallas players out of here. Its sparanos garbage.

He probably doesn't want someone filming how bad he sucks. He and any of the others who were "groaning" need to get over it already.

It always amuses me to hear people talk about how someone who has made the roster of a professional sports franchise "sucks". The very fact that they have made a pro roster puts them in the top one percent of everyone who has ever put on pads in high school and tried to play the game.

It is a relative term! Like when people say, "the NFL has the best players in the world"....they are full of crap. The NFL has "the best players available in an acceptable injury and psychological state for the money required to sign them." There are plenty of players in the NFL that suck! Take a look at Colombo...HE SUCKS. Pat White SUCKED! Beck SUCKED! Crowder SUCKED! Ginn SUCKED!

Uh Anthony Fasano was a top 10 tight end last season, going by Football Outsiders. Dude is a pretty good receiving threat and is an absolutely tremendous blocker. You guys are completely insane saying hes on his way out FOR AN ACCOUTANT TURNED TE hahahaa

Guys get a damn grip. You aren't getting rid of a great package TE like Anthony Fasano unless his contract demands are too high and he is getting paid elsewhere. He's a good receiver, a tremendous blocker, and a smart player. One of the few complete players we have on this roster.

no, they are just "ok" in the NFL but way above average football players - most of them str8 up college super stars like pat white, and Crowder, Fasano were perrenial starters in the NFL for god sakes, fasano still is! Ginn has cleats and gloves in the hall of fame.

now a guy like you next to and playing with those guys at even a 3rd of their normal game speed - that would be "Suck" in action.
