According to CNNSI.com truth and rumors, the Dolphins want to see more out of Anthony Fasano...they say one NFL personnel member thinks he's solid but not special....I think Fasano played pretty exceptional last year, and hope they don't screw him!

He played very good at times and then he disapeared.I do believe they will resign him but needs to be watched this season to see what they will offer him...

I'm a big Fasano fan. I think he's already special in my book. He will be the next well know tight end in the league.

He had a huge part in Last years Offensive success.

Fasano,Bess,Pennington,Long, and cobbs.....major offensive contributors. Pure football players....not stat hogs.....team players.

We all know what ronnie, ricky, could do.

I think he was good last year, and it was his first year as a starter.

He has the physical tools to be great, and he's already good. We'll see.

At times last year he looked great and then other games he was just average if that. If he is more consistent this year then I think he will re-signed.

I personally liked him a lot and thought he was a steal for a 4th round pick (especially when you consider we got Ayodele in the deal too). Ultimately, tight end is a position where you can afford to have a good-but-not-great player. We'd all love a Gonzalez or Gates but a great tight end doesn't make you a champion.

it was his first season as a fulltime starter, so give him some slack

this FO will never say they're entirely satisfied with their players, they want to push them to the limit and IMO fasano is a good candidate as far as a player that is already good but can devellop into a pro bowl TE... just my opinion

we've seen that he's a very reliable receiver, and he understands the concept that you gain yardage by running upfield with the ball as soon as you have it (too many players try to run laterally to outrun guys) , fasano understands that he's bigger than those defensive backs and when he's running at them he's hard to tackle

fasano must improve at blocking though, i agree, but he's not bad at all

13.4 ypc and 7 TD's is pretty damned special if you ask me, especially for a first year #1 TE (he wasn't a number one in Dallas)

Look at Tony Gonzalez's numbers and they are not far off.

I can tell you that Gonzalez never averaged above 13 ypc.

He's by far the best TE to suit up for Miami in the past 10 years. (Yes, including Randy McMichael who was very inconsistent). Fasano has good character and very good upside. In the words of TO - just throw him the damn ball.

Nothing wrong with having a solid TE

My question to them would be how many "special" tigh ends is there in the NFL? Witten, Gates, Gonzalez, and .....I don't see anyone else as special. Sometimes solid is the route to go and if Fasano can play like he did last season he is the best Tight End we have had in a long while

Did you really just compare him to Tony Gonzalez!

He was a little inconsistant at times, but I'm not that worried about it. Sometimes TEs will do that, depending on what they are asked to do. Make no mistake; Fasano isn't going anywhere. He's demonstrated the ability to do everything you need a TE to do.
