Too young to remember Nick but saw alot of clips of him and he was amazing.A.J.duhe,the blackwood brothers, etc are the reason I became a dolphin fan but I gotta go with ZT.He just has so much heart and passion for the game and he brings it every Sunday.:)

I used to wear Lyle Blackwood's number when I played safety in highschool. I was a big fan of the bruise brothers, they made catching a ball through the middle, a death wish. :D

zach thomas, john offerdahl was way to often injured to be mentioned

Duhe was unbelievable. It is too bad his career was cut short because of injury. I still remember the 14-0 playoff win against the Jets in the rain and mud.
Duhe practically shut down the Jets offense by himself.
In typical Jets fashion the players whined afterwards about the wet, muddy field.

If anybody had any real gripe that year, it was us. We played in the same mud they did, but Miami got screwed, when we played the Pats in that snow, and the convict gave them the cheap advantage.:fire:

I always likeed Hugh Greene(55) aftern coming over via Tampa Bay wish we could've had him in his prime.

loved Hugh Green, but he never lived up to what we spent to get him (1st and 2nd in '85) ... mainly because of the torn knee...

When Offerdahl played, he elevated the performance of the overall defense like no other. All during the Offerdahl years, our D was mediocre at best without him, but with him it was good enough to compete with anyone. If he hadn't missed a couple of playoff games in the early 90s with injuries, I really believe we'd have gone to the Super Bowl. 1990 for sure. He played so hard he was often injuring himself, that was his only drawback.

I remember that game. He owned the Jets that day.

and in the Daily News, Newsday and The Post in NY as I lived there then, Jets said " No way Miami beats us 3 times in 1 year" Miami shut them out bad and then they cried that we mismanaged the field, it was all sloppy and wet and we should of had it covered and in bettter shape! HAHAHAHAAHA:roflmao:

In no particularly order for me regardless of the era: Zach Thomas, A.J. Duhe, John Offerdahl, B. Cox, Brudzinski, Buoniconti

Cox had that nazty attitude a LB should have. The enemy fans hated him. Therefore he is my favorite of all time.

My favorite player was Hugh Green. Zach comes second.
