Its the off season, news is pretty slow and the draft is around the corner. This discussion isn't just about guys who were solid players for us or pro bowl careers. A guy you thought when the Dolphins drafted him, that he would be a great player for us. It could be a complete bust and in any round from previous drafts. I'm just curious to hear your thoughts on your favorite Fins draft picks of all time?

It doesn't have to be in any particular order either

Jarvis Landry - I loved him coming out of college despite his 40 time.
Jamar Taylor - He was probably one of my favorite CB's in the 2013 draft.
Lamar Miller - I felt like we got a steal for him in the 4th round.
Clyde Gates - I thought this guy was going to be an excellent deep threat.
Reshad Jones - He was fun to watch in college and I was remember hoping the Fins would draft him.
Dion Jordan - The pick was surprising but I loved the idea and Jordan and Wake pressuring Brady.

its sad but my favorite picks this teams made have all been in the last 3 years...tannehill landry and turner...ive hated so many picks i couldnt count them if i tried...

Heres to 2015 keeping up the 2014 day 2 momentum

I remember how excited I was when the Dolphins traded up and back into the first round of the 1989 draft and selected Louis Oliver. That's who I thought they were going to take with their pick at 9, but they took Sammie Smith instead. I was also very excited when the Dolphins took Troy Vincent with the 7th pick in the 1992 draft. I really thought those two picks would turn the Dolphins defense around and allow Dan Marino to win the Super Bowl. Unfortunately It didn't turn out that way.

I was also one who loved the Marino drafting . Even tho Dolphins had just been to Super Bowl with Wood/Strock . I had liked Marino's arm in college and was thrilled when Shula got him.

Yatil Green I remember watching the draft and them showing his highlights with Sterling Sharpe commenting on it saying "this is just want to he wants to make this catch". To bad he couldn't stay healthy.

I was really excited for Jake Long. During the Ted Ginn Draft, I really wanted Brady Quinn...I guess there was no winner among those picks.

Dan Marino.

Back then the coverage of draft was pretty minimal. I don't even remember the draft that year. But the years that followed will live in my memory forever. Just days ago I watched a replay of the victory over the undefeated Bears. Dan stood in the face of one of the best defenses ever and made plays, took hits and eventually beat them. He did that all the time for over a decade. 30 years later and the replay made me feel awesome. Dan had a way of doing that to you.

I liked the Matt Roth pick and I really liked the Ronnie Brown pick I thought Odrick was going to be a complete beast but it is what it is.
