Favorite time of the football year?

As we descend upon the big game of the football year, I find myself going crazy waiting for this thing. It got me to thinking about my favorite time of the football year because it seems there are 3 times a year I go absolutely nuts -- superbowl weekend, the draft, and the opening sunday of the season. Maybe I'm a little too hooked on football, or maybe I need a life :D but these are 3 of the most exciting times of a year for me.

What is your favorite football time of year? Why?

i love the draft... because speculation runs rampant, and it seems to force a lot more general football coverage and collegiate coverage. i just love the meshing of the two.

plus there isn't a game every week to squash all the debating and theories... so speculation runs rampant for a long time!

I love the draft because it is a chance to really improve your team and add guys that you follow from college ball. It's always fun to speculate where guys will go. It also helps make the football off-season bearable. I still like the season opener the most....all the teams are 0-0 and it's just the best time of the year.

What I also love but we have not had the opportunity lately is when your team is in the playoff race it's just as exciting cheering for your team as it is cheering for the team you are competing with that playoff spot is to lose

really? i find the super bowl a bore usually(tends to be a blowout plus lots of annoying non-football crap like endless commercials and "entertainers" like Prince). I'd rate the conference and divisional games as more exciting. The draft is what I find to be the most exciting(every team has picks to look foward unless dave pornstache is your HC) and opening day is #2.

The draft for me. I can NOT wait till the draft, its when teams are made, its the first time you get to see potential franchise players for your team. The most exciting words in all of sports to me is when i hear the words "with the uhh ___ pick in the nfl draft the Miami Dolphins select....
