Interesting....

2007

Philadelphia 23 of 42 206yds 54.8% 4.91 per att 22 long 0td's 1 int 4 sacks QB rating 58.2

2006

Chicago 15 of 29 170yds 51.7% 5.86 per att 25 long 0 td's 2 int's 3 sacks QB rating 40.9

2005

Detroit 27 of 44 201yds 61.4% 4.57 per att 20 long 0 td's 2 int's 4 sacks QB rating 53.3

So, in his last 3 seasons, his first game averages are:

22 of 38 192yds 55.9% 5.11 per att 22 long 0 td's 2.6 int's 3.6 sacks QB rating 50.8

Those avg's come from a team he was with for 15 seasons. Let's hope the law of averages apply on Sunday. :)

he has always been a slow starter and a gun slinger he IS going to make mistakes. i see more of the same because he is in a new offense and he was in a weaker division had a better O-line and better weapons in GB. I see us bringing the heat and that intensity you saw in the last few preseason games. And once we make them one dimensional the D can pin its ears back and go head hunting. Guess what happens then take a look at the sig THAT'S WHAT

LETS GO FINS!!!!

Hate to be "that guy", but his INT average is more like 1.6. (1+2+2)/3 ~ 1.6. In any event...he is slow out of the gate. I would much rather play against Farve in the heat of the Sept rather than the cold of Dec.

yes but those last 3 years the gamesa were played in cold weather Cities, that won't be a problem this year;):D

Another thing to note.. As CK mentioned, Favre's QB rating stinks when he didn't have a run game.. And with Jones as their running back averaging just 2.5 yards a carry in camp, and with Ferguson, Moore and Woody not being particularly good run blockers on their O-line, it will be a long day for the Jets.

The dolphins are just better at running the ball and stopping the run this year.. I think the Jets gave up a ridiculous 6.0 yards per carry when their starters were in during preseason. We will kill the Jets in week 1.

Average highs for the "cold" weather cities for 1st week of Sept:

Philly: 81 degrees
Chicago: 80 degrees
Detroit: 79 degrees

Burrrr.......that's frigid.

BTW, I thought Favre liked cold weather games anyways.

Cold weather cities true, but it's not exactly freezing in any of those cities in September. I think it's a reach to say that the cold played any factor in any of those games.

Why are you guys so obsessed w/ preseason? It's meaningless. I guarantee you our running game will be good despite not being good in preseason.

Not in September:D

It was a joke, I put the winking and smiling smilies in my post to indicate that.
