Even Brett Favre isn’t sure he’s got the magic to pull the Green Bay Packers back from the brink.

The Packers are 1-5 and injuries have devastated the three-time defending NFC North champs who are without their top two running backs and three of their top wide receivers.

“I feel like when I’m on the field I will always have a chance to help this team win and will be the difference,†Favre said Wednesday. “That’s what’s been disappointing this year more so than any other year, because we’ve lost four games by nine points and I would think that I could be the one who could make the difference.â€Â

I do believe he is on the verge of retirement & all of Marino's records will be left for Peyton to break.

if bret is a standup guy, he will retire this season and hand over the team to Rodgers

Despite losing Javon Walker, Robert Ferguson now, Bubba Franks (for a few games), Ahman Green, Najeh Davenport, and the list goes on and on... despite all of that Brett Favre leads the league with 14 Passing Touchdowns and is 6th in the league for Passer Rating with 93.1 His completion percentage is the highest it's ever been in his entire career at 66.7 %. 14:8 TD/INT ratio. Brett Favre is not the reason why they are losing and if this team was healthy, they'd easily win the NFC North in my honest opinion. Last Sunday they were down to TWO Wide Receivers on their Depth Chart with Donald Driver (whom was double covered ever play second half against Minnesota) and Antonio Chatman. They we're using 3 TE's (Franks, Lee, and Martin) due to lack of WR's and they're down to their first running back whom I believe is playing through injury too Tony Fisher and that only other one left on the Deprth Chart is Rashard Lee with Ahman Gren and Najeh Davenport out for the entire season on IR. I do think Brett Favre should have called it quits but I still think he still has his magic left and he is not the reason why they are losing. Their D is horrible too even though they're ranked pretty good in the standings, if they didn't have so many injuries (team most plagued by injuries in the NFL), they would easily take the North and go possibly 9-7. But because of so many injuries, I think they'll only win 5 games this year.

14:8 TD/INT ratio

Where'd you go to school? Didn't they teach you to reduce? His ratio is 7:4

Favre is gonna have to pull out some magic to win more than 1 of his next 5 games.

.

Or you could enlarge it to show a 28:16 ratio which is pretty good for somebody who has no receivers to throw to!!!

What I meant was he has 14 TD's and 8 INT's this season and that, that's his TD/INT ratio. Ehh, I've never been a big fan of reducing:lol:

Favre has played relatively well this year. Even with all the injuries and poor play of other Packers players and the team itself, Favre has been pretty good. I dont think he's going to retire after this year, i dont think he's going to allow himself to go out on this sour note. I think he's going to do everything in his power to get the Packers at least back to the playoffs, and maybe then he'll call it quits. As for Dan's records, i think they're pretty much gone.

I like Farve. I think that he needs his team to step-up... Image Farve with some Running Backs and wide recievers that did something...

He definatly has the ability to carry an adverage team - but some kind of help from that team would help...
