EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings haven't discussed the possibility of pursuing veteran quarterback Brett Favre. Yet.
Speaking on the first day of his team's rookie minicamp, coach Brad Childress said there hasn't been time to discuss the New York Jets' decision to release Favre. The move made Favre a free agent, raising speculation he was considering a return to the game despite releasing a statement in which he said his plans were to remain retired "at this time."

just craZY boy childress stiring the pot and espn having no NFL storys to report.

NO GONNA HAPPEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

JUST END IT ALREADY!

I'm sure, many years from now,we'll be reading the headline "The New York Giants are looking into signing Brett Favre's corpse to a 2 year deal"

Maybe they can use his head in a jar like Nixon on Futurama.

:lol2:

Not a bad idea. As long as The Phins are able to do the same with Marino so he can regain all of his passing titles, then I'm all for it.

But honestly, we all know Favre is going to end up sharing a casket with John Madden (both laying in a "spooning" position). I think it's in their wills.

Maybe they can bury them both in the Madden Cruiser like one of those Egyptian tombs, with pictures of Favre and Madden everywhere.

lol so if Farve comes Back does This Mean Madden Come Back Watch it Happen too

I love Favre... but I think it's time to go. He's had a great career.

Honestly, I didn't mind Favre until he decided to stick around and break Marino's records, then he went to the Jets.

I don't like him.

I love Favre for sticking around last season meaning the Jets went after him, cutting Penny and in reality his poor play at the end of the season gifted us the division.

I have to say that I do think that Favre is one of the legends of the game and a true NFL icon. However, this "will he/won't he really retire" every year is really getting annoying. Why can he not just hand in his papers and have done with this madness. He is doing nothing but destroying his legacy with this circus every year.

Leave it go Brett...and the media too please.

My dad's a Packer fan so I personally hope Favre comes back and throws for 14 TDs against the Pack this year just to piss him off

:chuckle:
