Brett Favre will never be a Fin...and here is the reasoning...

1. Packers Legacy- As the central figure for the last decade for the packers it would tarnish his image to try and go to another team and compete. Who cares what TO, or some Mort guy says... Favre will retire a packer.

2. He's OLD!!! He has no upside, he will want to be overpaid. He's on the decline. He's out of shape. And he's a shadow of his former self.

3. Even if for some reason he does play for another team it will not be for the fins!!!!!
A. We dont run the west Coast offense. That should end the entire arguement right there, but if you want more i'll give it. Earlier in the year he lobbied for Mooch to be the new coach cause that would increase the odds he would stay in his own system. Favre hates off-season workouts. Over the last few years he has only attended only the Training Camp, and none of the mini camps. He gets a bye mainly due to the fact that he knows the system already backward and forward.

Then there are his own statements that if a new coach were to come in he would most likely retire as he would not want to go to all the camps and then bumble around trying to learn something new.

Then add in the trying times his family has had... i need to go no further here...

Then there are his statements that he only wants to go where he is the uncontested starter. He doesn't want any competions. He wants to be handed the job...end of story.

We don't run a west coast Offense. We run almost the exact opposite. Saban likes the longball, but he also detests turnovers. The reason Gus is the starter is because he limits his mistakes. (0 pick 6's last year). All favre does is throw int's. It's his freaking calling card. When someone chucks the ball and prays it's called the Brett Chuck n pray...

So ask yourself this...what drug would Nick Saban have to be on to pick up an aging has been, pay him top dollar cap money, Hand him the reins without even a token Wanny type competition, teach him a new system, and then plug him in among the guys we already have here, and then hope that this single digit wonderlic lawnmower racing hillbilly can bring us to the superbowl? ... Cause i would love some of that stuff!

"Brett won a super bowl" -so did Trent Dilfer...

"He would be sick with TO"- Cause brett has no problem sharing the leadership on his team.... And he would NEVER call out one of his receivers...right?(You be quiet Jevon Walker!)

"You hate the packers"- Nope..not worth my time. To busy with the Jills, Pats and YETS....

"We could switch to the West coast offense!!!" - Of course we could not. If we don't change when we add an OC why would we change for a QB...No one does that..not even Atlanta...

"He will come for the nightlife" - No he'll come for the Golf...well not exactly..he'll come for the golfcourse lawnmower convention...check out that new Toro!!! I believe he even has the one Tom Hanks rode in forrest Gump...

"We can switch him to safety"- Please try something for me. Superglue your nostrils and nose shut, then tell me what shade of blue you turn..it will be fun!!!

"He'll come to help us get to the SuperBowl"- OMG i should have thought of that!!!! Brett has taken every team he has ever played on to the Superbowl..Even his little league team..according to John madden...HEY MADDEN GET OFF OUR MESSAGE BOARD!!!!!

"He's the last piece..."- that doesn't fit...

Sounds alot like "Montana will never be a 'Chief"

Im would not want him here anyways. I like him as a player, he is a warrior but he is just too old and I want to see him retire in GB.

Well, I think you really underestimate what he physically has left and he'd be a good fit here, even tho it's a different offensive system than what he is used to. Favre still hasn't lost his passing skills nor his arm strength. He played on a team this year that had it's 3rd and 4th RBs in much of the year. The team never replaced it's starting guards from the previous several seasons and lost all his top recievers as well. The big issue was the OL was in shambles in GB (just like JJs time here where Marino struggled because JJ didn't know what an OL was.) So, your assessment of Favre is way off in most NFL peoples opinions, but that said....

You are right....He is not going to play for the Fins. It'll be for the Pack or retirement. He's said that in the past and most likely will follow that route. He said in his latest interviews that his head was not into the game anymore and that means, to me, that he won't be back. I'm not so sure that I want him if he can't get his head back into the game...However, the thought of Favre on the Fins is exciting to think about...just won't happen...

I realy believe he is going to retire.Remember when Marino was about to retire all the rumors had him going to the vikings.Nobody knows but Brett and probably his family. He's had a great career.

I am not saying he is going to come to Miami, but to say he will never be a Dolphin is pretty bold. Nobody knows if he will or won't for sure. I doubt he will come here too, but don't act like its 100%.

i agree!! i just love when people use the word NEVER so easily!!

I would love to see him here if it was for the right price, I think he would want too much money.....but to have him and a rookie draft pick learnin off him would do wonders.

But I cant see him playin anywhere other then Green Bay

What know it all "types"...?

After watching the Favre interview on ESPN, I honestly think he is going to retire. I don't think he would want to come to Miami and learn a new system and I seriously doubt that our coach would tolerate his not showing up for the mini camps.

I just don't understand why a guy who has played his heart out for 15 years and is 1) extremely wealthy, 2) loved in his home town, and 3) a sports icon would want to a) learn a new playbook, b) move to a new town, away from his family, and c) possibly be benched or cut at the last second (see: Jerry Rice).

I know what you're going to say, and it's true, if Favre left now he wouldn't have left on a high note. But honestly, given all the odds stacked against him if he went elsewhere, what are the odds a new team changes that?

The ones that say, IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN not because they have any information other than saying he is a hillbilly who likes riding lawnmowers. Do you have the link to the fact that he scored a single digit number on the Wonderlik?

did you see how he played in the month of December? In the words of the immortal Jim Mora: diddly poo.
