"The only real fear I have is getting beat one-on-one and giving up a sack," said Smiley, one of the more coveted free agents in February. "That scares me more than anything.

Interesting. The part of this article that SCARES me is a bit further down when it talks about being "Marshalled".

Be the first to meet a football-toting Marshall and be sure to be bruised and battered. And don't expect to bring him down. Not by yourself, at least.

We have struggled vs the big WRs. Some here have mentioned Jason Allen as the most physically gifted DB on our team, implying he is the only one who can really contain the powerful WRs like Marshall. Let's hope his head is in this game then...

I love the part where they called Smiley a "coveted free agent" in the offseason.

Jimmy McGinty: A real man admits his fears. That's what I'm asking you to do here tonight. Who wants to go first?

Clifford Franklin: I'm afraid of spiders, Coach.

Coveted by the Dolphins, maybe. I don't know how much other interest was out there for Smiley.

i wanted Smiley bad and have been wanting us to aquire him for years but felt we outbid ourselves for a player coming off of injury, all the same glad to have him.

I don't know. We did seem to jump on him immediately, especially with all of the attention drawn by Faneca.

Smiley has been a great pick-up. His play on the field has been very good and his mentoring of the young players will go a long way.
