Oct 20, 2009 is the NFL trading deadline. At that point, we will have played 5 games vs Atlanta, Indy, SD, Buff, jets, and have our Oct 18 bye week.

IF we get off to a good start, could we make a major deal (as Ireland implied) for perhaps a WR, should that be a weakness?

IF we get off to a bad start, do we look to Henne, and trade any number of vets such as Penny, Porter, Ricky, etc for picks?

Either way, it's still early in the season, anything can happen. So, do we stand pat?

It's an intriguing question. Time for the crystal balls.

What if Jason Taylor has like 8 sacks through 5 games, could we trade him to Washington for another 2nd rounder? LMFAO at the thought.

if anything i would guess that we would trade someone away rather than trade for someone. the only time i think we will trade for someone is when its a deal like the one we got akin and anthony for a fourth, or late round picks for a player. this regime does not like to give up picks for players.

LOL. Nah, this time Mr. Porter goes to Washington for a 2nd. :)

If we're doing well, stand pat in all likelihood, but it won't be for Ireland not looking to make a deal. I'm sure if the right opportunity presents itself for the right player, he'd take it (e.g. a marquee WR at a fair price). But this regime never overpays.

How will we come out of those first five game? Many see us starting 0-3, and 1-4. I see 4-1.

San Diego is horrible...no way we lose that game.

Atlanta will be a great game to watch but I think their defense won't be able to stop us and their offense won't be able to score enough points

I hope you're right - if so there's no reason we shouldn't be 5-0.

I think SD will be tough because it's also a cross-country flight. Those really take their toll. We're lucky in that last year, we played all five west coast teams and only traveled for one...and we all know how that game turned out.
