Not sure if there is a topic about this penalty but I am done with all the Tannehill topics and wanted a different one. That is one of the worst penalties I have seen in a long time. He purposely hit the Punter. Man, Rizzi had death eyes on him lol.

If Gase is serious about holding players accountable then Fede needs to take a seat at the end of the bench. I can't recall ever seeing that stupid of a moment on a football field.

Should have had his helmet taken away and benched. Should show up on waiver wire this week. You don't building winning culture by having stupid, undisciplined players, that lack talent on your team.

You know what, if it was Tom Coughlin, Fede wouldn't even be on the plane back. Remember when he cut the Punter for kicking it to D.Jackson a few years back in a playoff clincher? He cut him the next day. Who was playing LG? Was it Turner or Thomas? I was at a sports bar and couldn't tell. Whoever it was needs to be cut with Fede lol.

The only thing dumber is probably Vontae Davis hurting himself in a celebration lol.... Doesn't get any worse. I do remember last year Olivie Vernon doing a stupid penalty against the Jags but was it dumber?

Hard to believe that a player would be so freaking dumb but it seems like that's all we ever bring into this team. That penalty killed any chance we had at ever coming back in that game. He needs to be cut and James needs to be bench right now. He sucked last night once again.

I still don't think that's a penalty unless there is a protection rule on punters...I always thought it was once his plant leg comes down and he's fair game to block

must have been a rule change and I think it had to be when the cinci guy broke the I want to say Vikings punters face a couple years ago

Agreed. Either way bonehead play by Fede because it was pointless, but that didnt seem like the right call.

I get what you're saying in terms of the punters leg being down. But if you watch the play the ball is clearly gone for a few seconds and Fede just runs up and pushes the guy over. That isn't even a coaching issue, it's just a selfish act that cost the team

Yes, I always thought that once the foot came down, they were just another player that could tackle. The other one I didn't like was the horse collar on Hewitt. He was nowhere near the pad, just grabbed the back of the jersey. The Cincinnati player did the same thing to Tannehill on the play where he threw it away between the defenders.

yeah atkins was in tannehills jersey definitely a foul...hewiitts under the new rule is a foul also...but call it both ways
