He's good, but he's madly overrated. He was getting tooled by Andrei Arlovski before Andrei got over-confident and lunged in and caught a straight right.
Look at his record. It's remarkable. Arlovski was doing good. But never posed a threat. Fedor got one good hit and it was done. That's what makes him so good. His outstanding record of over 30 wins and only one loss. Which came from him getting cut. He was winning the fight. But got cut. The ref stopped the fight because of it. Even though he was winning in every scorecard. So in reality the man is undefeated. That's unheard of in MMA. You have to respect that. A lot of those fights were close. But the man always finds a way to win. And that's what makes a champion. Just watching the suplex that Randleman put him in alone shows how amazing he his. If that was you or I we would be in a wheelchair. Instead he ended up winning the fight.
hes a beast and down to business which i like...that knockout of arlovski was nasty
His record: exactly what makes him overrated. He's got a who's who list of CANS, and a handful of legit wins over contenders. Who other than Big Nog, Barnett, and maybe Sylvia and Arlovski is really an impressive victory?
I respect his ability, he's very talented, but MMA fans like to paint him as the godfather of MMA. I don't agree with that at all.
This guy is a beast as well.
Not really, he just exposed Kimbum slice for the no talent backyard brawler that he is. Dude actually had the balls to call out Chuck Liddell, and he got KO'd by a soft punch from Seth. I litterly Lol'd on that one.
fedor is the best there is. he is an absolute freak. the only knock is the questionable competition he's faced b/c he hasn't made the move to the ufc. i've been watching mma since the beginning and i have never seen anything like him. to completely dismantle guys like he has is unbelievable.
kud, come on man, overrated? who has ever been as dominant as fedor? the only other fighter that was as dominant was gracie - and thats just b/c people didn't know how to defend against his submissions yet. there are absolutely no holes in fedor's game. i would love to see him and lesnar go after each other like the giant unhuman freaks they are.
He defeated to UFC champions back to back. That's impressive along with all his other wins. His wins against CroCop and Nogueira are two great wins. His ability to beat people that are bigger and outweigh him is very impressive. Size doesn't matter with Fedor. He will take you out. And the one thing I like the most about him. Is that the man is a class act. A very humble person who treats all fighters with great respect. He doesn't trash talk. Or show off at all. The man is the champion and undefeated besides one technacality. That's unheard of in MMA. You have to respect that and give the man his props. Until someone beats him. He's still the champion.
who has ever been as dominant as fedor?
As I heard it Fedor was going to be the highest paid fighter in the UFC if he had signed.
Chuck Liddell was 18-2, and a reigning champion for years in his prime against much stiffer competition in my book. To me dominance only goes as far are level of competition. Tossing around a bunch of japanese tomato cans is hardly stiff competition.
Not only that but I think Chuck could beat Fedor at heavyweight. But we'll never get to find out because Fedor refuses to come to the UFC.
Dolphins 9554 that is very inaccurate. The biggest reason Fedor wouldn't sign is because the UFC wanted him to be exclusive to the UFC, aka he couldn't compete in other MMA related events. Fedor wanted to continue to compete in combat Sambo. As I heard it Fedor was going to be the highest paid fighter in the UFC if he had signed. It's a big reason Couture quit the UFC briefly and why he demanded to negotiate a new contract.
