Feeley deserves a fair shot.

Feeley will get a shot but logically speaking you would think Gus will have an edge because he knows the system and AJ is a poor practice player. How is AJ going to impress if he has poor practices.

I am more worried about the fact that he is a poor game player too...

But seriously why do we have to keep saying he needs a shot? He started over half the games last year and has a perfectly fair chance to win the job. Isn't that the definition of a "shot"?

Lets give Feeley a fair shot? What the hell did you call last season!?

Feeley is constantly undermined by whims of ravenous retribution and prayer. I'm sorry but what the hell has he EVER done to justify any potential outcry for validation? I've heard the whole "Last three weeks of last season" speech. Beautiful. He stood up when the rest of us were reclining in cynical outrage and mild drips of sympathy pathos.

And what is all this "still young" talk. WHo the hell has a 28 year old developmental quarterback? A starting, developmental, 28 year old, never proven, never was, never has been, never will be quarterback?

If Feeley can provide adequate sustainability then fine, but he's not the answer for the future. Neither is Gus, but at least it seems Gus has proven himself on a few more instances than A.J.

I'm with you....

Feeley has already had his fair shot, and he basically sucked. I like his arm strength, and his accuracy, but his decision making is the worst I've ever seen. He wasn't ready to start in 2004, and I don't think he's ready now either. Watching Feeley / Frerotte compete is not helping his cause either. Frerotte is making him look like a rookie out there....and for good reason, that's how Feeley plays....

I had very high hopes for feeley when Rick brought him in, but he's obviously not starting caliber in the NFL. Feeley has had his chances, and he's completely failed to show any indication that he's capable of leading this offense....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Although I think last year WAS quite enough of Feeley, he'll get a FAIR chance. THere's no favorites here. Nobody gets the nod at all. Not Frerrote for his experience with Linehan's system, and not Feeley cause some bozo traded a 3rd round pick for him! Nobody cares if he was the starter last year. ANd FINS FURY: The pick we gave for him was a 3rd round pick. Not a 2nd. But either way, it doesn't even matter if Feeley isn't worth that pick. It's not like Saban made that bonehead mistake. That was done by a pair of clowns from the last regime. THat's not his fault

My next album title. :rawk:

Seriously ... nobody is getting the starting job handed to them this year.
