Feeley not 3rd string for long.?

I was just watching the Mempis Ole Miss game and one of the back-up corners had a game winning INT at the end. Well anyway the announcers said that he was a first string corner he was just demoted. They said that finally probably lit a fire under his arse. I know Saban always talks about this and doing this, so I was wondering if you guys think he is doing this with Feeley to motivate him and see if he can just go crazy in practice. Or if its just cause he isn't very good.

I already mulled that one over, but I guess I didn't put too much stock in it because, well I just stopped mulling.

huh? why are you comparing situations? your title is VERY misleading. Sage has earned the right to be #2, possibly even #1
Untill he plays a poor game, then its on to the next one. Have a bad game, take a seat until its your turn again.

Anyone who plays fantasy football will tell you that there are only two premier QB's out there - Manning and Culpepper. Mcnabb could also be on that list if you want to stretch it. The lack of quality QBs is a problem of the entire NFL. We are not alone. The fact is that unless we figure out how to trade for Phillip Rivers or another young prospect we will never get back to greatness we once had with Marino. We have to learn to win other ways and getting Ricky back was a start.

Sage hasn't earned anything! we have always had sorry backup qb's play good in preseason anyoen remember quinn? I thought that guy was the man in preseason and so it goes Sage has played in a reg season game and got his rear handed to him!

Its possible. I wouldn't be suprised if he was trying to motivate all the qbs as none of them have done anything special.
feely looked like he wuz goofin off on the side lines in the tampa game wouldnt suprise me if he got waived

Against which string defense?

You can try to spin things any way you want. I still haven't witnessed anything spectactular.
It doesn't matter who it was against. He had a good game, you can't dispute that. Maybe if he was playing against the first string he would have played bad, there is no way to know, but in his opportunity to play he had a GREAT game.

You're right, I'm afraid. He's not destined to be 3rd string for long...he's not destined to be a 'Fin for long

You are right...agree with you!

I don't think Saban demoted Feeley to third string because he just did it to motivate him. Sure, he would like to motivate him and all the QB's on our roster but I feel the reason AJ is third is because he has been outperformed by Sage which is why Sage is now our backup quarterback because he's earned it. Feeley is the lowest QB on our Depth Chart and I don't think his future here in Miami will last for much longer because if Saban picks up another QB, that will mean the end of A.J. Feeley and there's no chance in hell he'll be here next season.

Hey its not like Frerotte has been good against any defense.

But he hasnt been as bad as Feely and he had a solid outing against Chicagos second string.
