Feeley not 3rd string for long.?

what Gus doesnt do thats special is throw INT's. That is why he isnt connecting I believe because he is trying to not make mistakes because he knows, from experience, that you dont win starting jobs by doing that. He is trying to get on the same page, but he is not throwing the ball into the defenses hands. That is priority #1 when playing QB. People do not want to acknowledge that because it doesnt score TD's. Gus just needs to connect long so that defenses will get spread out. Thats it. Gus has everything except that down. The rest is up to the OL and WR and RB's.

Sounds like an eerily familiar philosphy...play not to lose...hummmmm, now who would have had that philosophy in the recent past ??? Oh, yea...you know that other guy that was coach here...what was his name ??

But, this is what we will get from Frerotte...playing not to lose, not utilizing everything we have, except overusing our RBs...

we were given a complement on our qbs

after the chicago game by the media in my area one quote was " it is obvious that sage is the man with the swager about him" jim treber
"Brock Berlin has the arm and mobility that A.J. lacks" posted by a guy but i forgot his name. anyhow i will be glad to see the sagemaster take snaps under center and i think he can do the job . as far as gus is concern he does have at least a spark A.J. needs a forrest fire to get him going. it is true that A.J. was goofing off not only in the tampa game but chicago game when all the qbs were gathered around coach garrett A.J. was over with ricky laughing. is that a bad sign ? you tell me.

I agree, Feeley won't be 3rd string for long........ He may be on his way out the door. Not only is he not worth the 2nd round draft pick we wasted on him, he sure isn't worth the contract he signed to be a third string qb.........

huh? why are you comparing situations? your title is VERY misleading. Sage has earned the right to be #2, possibly even #1

I usually agree with many of your post, but to tell you the truth .......Sage has not earnd anything....In fact he is just as bad or worse than Feeley.

I was just watching the Mempis Ole Miss game and one of the back-up corners had a game winning INT at the end. Well anyway the announcers said that he was a first string corner he was just demoted. They said that finally probably lit a fire under his arse. I know Saban always talks about this and doing this, so I was wondering if you guys think he is doing this with Feeley to motivate him and see if he can just go crazy in practice. Or if its just cause he isn't very good.

no

i see this Qb situation staying were it is for a while unless injuries or sniffs of last season begin to happen but right now Frerotte is the best choice and Rosenfels is a good choice to back him up.

I disagree.. sage earned the #2 spot. Last weeks game is all you need to know. Both are career #3s... but sage has just played consistently better... look at the stats (as many do!)... He led the team to points.. played smarter..made less mistakes... although after watching the game I think he threw a few passes that were likely INTs against the 1st unit defense.

AJ dropped the ball. You must admit it. Unless no matter what.. you just want AJ...
Seems like the men who make football a career disagree.

I completley agree. When I say I haven't seen anything special it applies to all all of our qbs. We're going to be in the same situation we were in last year. But with a different HC....

Edit: And better running backs.

I agree. I have no confidence in this team to get a first down.

My point exactly! I was simply making fun of this thread. I thought Vinny added a nice twist!

I liked Feely last year but after watching him play the last five games, I have come to the conclusion he is not our answer. He has a good arm however he does not have the touch and he stares down the receiver which he is throwing too. Maybe with a better o-line, his play would improve but I now believe he will not be with us next year. That is if he makes it that long.
:yeahthat:

Ya because you see it happening all around the NFL ..........starting cailbur QB's being demoted not just to second string, but to third string ........just because they need a little motivating.......... you need to wake up and smell the coffee my friend. There's a reason he's fallen back to where he came from.

It's not a stunt to motivate him..Sage is BETTER than Feeley. Period. That's all there is to it. Feeley is a career 3rd stringer. Sage is also better than Frerotte, but that's a whole other discussion.

Im so tired of these Save Feeley threads, I swear his fanclub should make some of the LIVESTRONG type bracelets and sell them for charity to bribe Saban with the earnings to give him another shot. The guy had plenty of chances and he DOESNT cut it. Gus/Sage will limp us through the year until we can draft a QB in 06. Get over it and take all the pics of Feeley that you can on the sideline because this is his last year in a Dolphins uniform. Thank you come again!
