Anyone else have a feeling of deja vu?
The first week when Feeley went in, he threw an int for a TD. Then he promptly drove the team downfield and scored a TD.
He throws another int against Cincy, which goes for a TD, and then leads two drives downfield, helping the Fins get ten points near the end of the game and gave the Fins a chance to win.
It reminds me of Marino's rookie year...when he went in that Oakland game and threw that int on his first throw....where he ended up getting to Joe Rose with a beautiful pass later on in the game....of his first game he started vs. Buffalo where he played pretty poorly til the Fins were down quite a bit. Dan got in that huddle, and dared those players to play better, to show what they could do. They ended up tying the game, but losing in overtime. Ed Pope of the Herald said it was the first and only time he saw Shula "happy with a loss because he knew what he had." I know Feeley is no Marino but I truly believe he is a Brady-type QB. I think with the chance to play all of this year, he could be in the top five to seven qb's in the NFL by next year. Just my opinion, mind you.
