Feeley Starts All Year Project Stats!

My predictions: If Feeley starts: 2990 yards 19 TDs, 17 INTs

If Gus starts: 3300 yards 24 TDs 16 INTs

Gus would throw for more yards, more TDs and be pretty close in INTs. He is more experienced, can hit the deeper passes more consistently and has the edge at reading defenses. He also knows the offense MUCH better. Thus the better yardage and TD stats. He also has a penchant for mistakes, so that's why I think the INT total would be similar. Just my opinion.

Let me add that I think that if Feeley starts, we will run the ball a little more than we will if Gus starts.

He'll throw for a few less INT's, imo. He'll be OK but nothing to write home about...but that'll be better than last year at least. :)

why will he throw for less INT's? feeley may have the tools but does he have the toolbox? does he have the smarts? the INT's are the killer - i remember vividly the seattle game last year. the defense kept us in the game, game's tied, miami ball mid-field, minute or so left. we're driving for the possible winning score, i don't recall the down and distance. Feeley goes back to pass, locks on to a receiver in the short-flat AND fails to see Boulware sitting on the route, begging AJ to throw it. Boulware was in plain view, Feeley just locked on the receiver. Throws the pass, Boulware jumps on it, INT, runs it back for the game-winning score. Everytime someone posts that Feeley should be the starter, that play goes through my head. Some will say that this is a rookie mistake (or at least one made by a young player), and with time he'll avoid that mistake. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. My point is this: I don't really care who starts, so long as they give us good play at qb and don't make stupid mistakes that cost us games. It was the same with Fiedler. It may be that the qb of our future is not on our roster. If that's the case, I'm sure we'll find one. In the meantime, doesn't the coaching staff owe it to the team to field the qb that gives them the best chance of having a winning season? Saban may say, we're rebuilding, but this is not an expansion team. We have talent, we should not be settling for anything less than a seriousl playoff run.

3600 yrds passing and brown with 1400 yards rushing I think that's a bit much. Those numbers should put us 2nd in the division and deff in the playoffs!!!

would it have sounded a little crazy three years ago to tell you the dolphins would have the leading rusher in the nfl and with our defense and still not make the playoffs. listen i know what we have and haven't had. the past is behind us and it was bad. we had entirely too much talent to do nothing. we have alot of young players on offense i know but they are being coached now. wanny's staff last year was awful. houck will teach o-line how to block and use their hands, speed and strength. our backs and receivers will be as good as any especially if ricky is here. we finally have a young player (welker) that can scare some special teams. if feeley starts and can minimize his mistakes i believe the playoffs can happen. of course our defense cannot lose a step!!!

I HAVE DECIDED TO STOP TYPING IN CAPS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DID NOT LIKE IT. I DIDN'T INTEND TO UPSET PEOPLE!!

a realistic stat would be 23 Td's 19 Ints, the guys throws to many and after that is all said Saban will adress the Qb Of the Future in 2006 Draft

Very well put.
And I think there is no way Gus starts because Saban NEEDS to see what he has in Feeley and Gus is just insurance, way too old to make an impact in the long run.

3000-3250 yards
18-22 T.D.
14-18 INTs

I think it all depends on the running game, the O-line's improvement and the health of our recievers.

let's say feeley starts the entire season and our line is alot better. with our great rb and receivers i give feeley these stats.

3600 yds. passing
25 td. passing
2 td. rushing
13 int.

fiedler had a year with 3290 yds. and 20 td.
i hope there isn't a thread on this yet. if there is a apoligize!!!!

:goof: :goof:

1050 yards
11 TDs (2 for us and 9 for the other team)
0 rushing TDs
26 INTs

Why aren't you a patriots fan then?

But you know what, I have to agree with you on this, as much as I want him to succeed, I think he might have some problems too. I don't think he will be a top 10 QB, but with new coaching on the OL, he should put up numbers that exceed last year.

Ok middle of the pack is 16th. Is he better than number 16?

If Feeley starts, this is my prediction:

2004 (11 games, 8 starts)

Passing Completions: 191
Passing Attempts: 356
Completion %: 53.7%
Passing Yards: 1,893 yards
Touchdowns: 11 TD's
Interceptions: 15 INT's
QB Rating: 61.7

2005 (If he starts possibly 13-16 games)

Passing Completions: 206
Passing Attempts: 379
Completion %: 54.3%
Passing Yards: 2,484 yards
Touchdowns: 16 TD's
Interceptions: 18 INT's
Quarterback Rating: 68.97 (It's accurate, I did the math.)

Also keep in mind with an expected running game this year unlike last year, don't expect Feeley or Frerotte to be passing so much. Last year we had to abandon the running game we barely had and continueously pass because we were always down. Those are just rough predictions I came up with.

2005 Final Record: 7 to 9 wins
