Bengals fans and player hate talking about Zimmer leaving Cincinnatti, but everyone believes he is a good coach & that his time is now. Zimmer has worked hard to reach this level and the feeling in Cincy is that he will be hired to be a Head Coach this year. Zimmer has interviewed with the Dolphins & there is world Fins would like another interview with him, but he will be meeting with the Bucs tommorrow. Mike Florio of PFT reported yesterday that talk in league circles is that Zimmer is Miami's top candidate. Zimmer has a strong connection with Ireland dating back to their days in Dallas, he also shares a connection with Todd Bowles, Kacy Rodgers & Dan Campbell, Bowles & Rodgers both worked under Zimmer when he was Defensive Coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys. There are deep ties between Zimmer and Miami's staff. Rumors have begun that if Zimmer is hired as a HC he can add Hue Jackson to his staff or Todd Haley who has the same Agent as Jeff Ireland another name to keep in mind is Bengals WR coach James Urban. The Bucs interview could be a good way to judge Miami true interest in Mike Zimmer, just a week ago Jacksonville intervened and hired Mike Murlarkey before his interview with the Dolphins. Will the Dolphins do the same to the Bucs & tip their hand in this Coaching Search Poker Game?

This would be an awesome move. I prefer Zimmer, and my other choice would have been Philbin.

A big group of my friends are all huge Bengals fans from Cincinnati, and they've been sending me threatening texts all week about how mad they'll be if we take him lol and I hope we do

Zimmer looks like a guy that will not only be suitable for the job, but will surround Miami with a great staff

Getting excited over Zimmer.. hope it's not gonna result in a letdown, especially at the hands of TB. Passing on Fisher/Schotty to me is a huge positive. Hopefully hiring Zimmer will be 2 in a row.

Dont know much about him but the Bengals have done well this year............
