a good undrafted free agent making a difference right off the bat with the punt block & sack for today (mccain)

a solid first round pick in James who held his own other then that 1 penalty that voided the TD

Delmas seems like a much better player then Clemons ever was for us

Moreno might be the best bargain and pick up in the off-season we could'ev ever hoped for.

the o-line looks a lot better

I may need to see it again because they only showed the replay once but I didn't see a hold on James

The defense played with intensity, attitude, and relentless pursuit. Finnegan and Delmas are known for their hard hitting and playing with a chip on their shoulders. Mitchell is known for nonstop pursuit and high effort.

Moreno runs with intensity and attitude. It seems to me our new GM did a fantastic job of bringing in players with intensity and toughness.

Did Finnegan give up any passes? I didn't notice.

I agree...we now have some , guys with that fire in them and some attitude. Moreno really rubbed off on other guys on offense, it showed. He really was impressive today. Hickey went out and got him some tough football players but really Moreno was on a whole nother level today. I really can't stress it enough about his intensity that he was playing with.

Completely agree however where are all yhose people that bashed Moreno saying we got damaged goods. Or bashing the James pick. I love those that say Delmas was a downgrade from Clemons yet Clemons is on the street right now.

What about Fede and Landrys contribution. How many times did we hear Alberts name today?

Kinda like the job they are doing and also Lazor.

There was definitely a lot of Hickey in this win.

Moreno running Beast Mode, leading the league in rushing so far this week,
Albert, Satele, and James performing well on the OLine
Delmas and Finnegan providing fairly good coverage (this is Brady and the Pats, after all) and limiting Gronk's YAC
Landry with pretty decent return yardage
McCain getting a sack and punt-block

That's some solid success for a first-year GM in a big first game. He should be excited.

A couple, I thought.

But honestly? I love the attitude. Our team has been missing that.

Agreed 100 percent. When Wilson got hit with that cheap shot I loved how he responded. Great to see that from one of ours.

Now hopefully these signings and draftees can continue to play great and make Hickey look good. Lets win another one this week in Buffalo.

Yes. He gave up the long one, I think it was 35 yards and was called for holding on the same play. He was in good position though, it was a well-placed ball. He also gave up some short ones in the flat, but overall he looked good today.

I'm not an Ireland apologist but he did do some good things here and I don't think he was completely to blame for everything. I think the biggest upgrade in Hickey is that he communicates and works with head coach and the staff's vision.

Lets hope Hickey can keep the momentum.

i agree with the OP. hickey has done a great job so far.

to add, the secondary seems to be faster / in tighter coverage, and the wr spot has also improved.

next year, i'm sure he bolsters the LB corp. next.
