Felix Jones, anyone?

What makes you think that Jones is going to demand a big pay day?

Because a RB in his prime won't play for peanuts. I look to Matt Forte and Ray Rice. If you don't think F. Jones doesn't want his payday, then I don't know what else there is to say.

Forte and Rice are good.

And if you don't think Felix Jones doesn't think he's good, then there is nothing more to say. Doesn't matter what you or I think, F. Jones is the one who will want the pay day.

felix jones isn't sniffing that kind of pay day...more likely he plays 8 games this year due to injury...he's getting close to being labeled damaged goods...

With that said, is he worth the cost?

Doesnt matter what Jones thinks of himself, the market will determine his value.

Exactly. DolfanDuBbZ~ seems to think a guy like Felix Jones can just name his price. Doesn't work that way. The market sets your price, not the other way around. Ask Mike Wallace. Jones is simply not going to get a big contract based on the way he's played and his durability issues.

I like the guy's talent and just think it's an opportunity to buy low with the chance for a premium return from a guy in a contract year. A risk? Sure. But even mediocre Felix Jones is better than Steve Slaton (who's no less injury prone than Jones) and while I like Messam's potential relying on a guy like him will make you look foolish more often than not.

what cost??? a mid round pick??? ehhh...i don't trust him to stay healthy...thats what it comes down to for me...but he's talented and he's hellaciously explosive... but he'll be hurt by the bye week if you ask me

He's in a contract year. If you think he would take a low ball contract from MIA you have learned nothing from the recent past.

He will not play for peanuts, and Mike Wallace has a tender on him. A 1st round tender at that. Last I checked, Mike Wallace will get paid. Maybe not this year, but he will be paid. Apples to Oranges.

Felix Jones will be paid, maybe even over paid. But again, who do you take money from to pay him? And who on the roster doesn't get their pay day?

Doesnt matter what Jones thinks of himself, the market will determine his value.

And in that market, there is always someone who over pays for 'their' guy.
