2 threads in one night for me, new record haha.

Anyhow, I was reviewing the game tape from Tampa and

#1. Chad Henne can throw. No doubt in this, that pass he threw to bess in the 4th quarter was right in between the numbers. That interception he threw was a mistake but a great play by the LB. It seemed as though the LB was going to keep running toward the sideline(sticking with his coverage) and would open up a gap big enough to get the ball into Hartline. Henne could be something really special with some good recieving talent around him.

#2 Sean Smith, on the Touchdown pass,it seemed to me he really mistimed his jump, stopping way to early ,and if he stayed on his feet for another second he might have came up with a good play on the ball(anyone watch this?) . Not saying that its alright he gave up the TD , but its a mistake that he should learn from.

I wish our Receivers had hands as good as that LB that got the interception. Guys complain about Henne not throwing the perfect pass every time but it certainly didn't effect the defender, he reach back and just snagged it! Sign him up, lol!!!

I agree on both. Smith is getting a bad rap on here just casue he has no ints. He is playing well for a rook starting. Give him time.

yeah that LB made one hell of a play. Yeah a lot of people on here forget he is a rookie, he did get so much hype a lot of people probaly expected him to be pro-bowl player in his first year. For a rookie starting at CB as soon as he gets into the NFL, he is doing an exceptional job.

u ppl give too much credit to smith, why give credit were its not deserved? yea hes a rook but hes hasnt showen any potential whatsoever so why keep giving this guy credit? vontae on the hand has shown serious potential while making rookie mistakes, thats the guy to support.

It's very well deserved, it's a really difficult position to transition from college and he's holding his own. Alot of rookie CB's can't even get on the field let alone start because it takes a while to adjust to the speed and the defensive packages.

It's not like Smith is getting burnt on a regular basis, all CB's give up TD's and receptions. I like S.Smith's play, but then again I don't think the kid has to have 5 interceptions already to prove anything. We are set for a long time at the position but I would never expect anything positive out of you about this team anyways.

To add to thirds point. If u watched the Indy ne game u saw Darius butler rookie cb from uconn that this board was super high on and he made 0 good plays and had 3-4 costly penalties throghout the game. Smith has played well. Once he pops his cherry he'll be alot less nervous out there.

Also Chad couldve pump faked to that lb an ran bout 17 yards untuched. Look at that video.

Shown no potential whatsoever? Ugh what the hell do we have to do to get you off this message board?

That's what I thought when the play was developing, he looked to have a wide open lane infront of him. I certainly don't mind him not running, I rather Henne not take shots for a few yards right now. I also think we're lucky the play happened to see how he'd react and he showed everyone that he's the real deal.

he is gettin burnt on a regular basis.....

Yeah, not that I want him putting us into 2 min drill win or lose situations but he really showed poise and confidence on his last drive. I still cant get over that awesome throw to bess.
