FF's updated Mock Draft

All the other needs we have are more important than a corner IMO. We picked a DB in the first round last year and how much did help our season this year? We need a guy that can make an impact or an offense linemen that can protect the QBs blind side.

Hall is gone by there IMO. They have a lot of teams ahead of us who need CB help who are passing on him. Having said that, I don't think we pick that low either.

I think going secondary in the 1st round is a pretty smart move, but there still are other needs with higher priority IMO. Other than OL and CB, LB is another spot we can look at in the first round. Having a 1st round CB to go along with Daniels and Will Allen next season will give us a pretty formidable set of corners to go along with Jason Allen and Bell at saftey.

got a question.dont bash me or anything but hearing the possibility of jason allen switching to corner could that mean that miami could also look to draft a safety? yeremiah is an FA in the offseason so we will need to resign him but we dont know if that will go down or not but hopefully it will.

I really doubt we take a safety in round 1 two years in a row.

I thought this mock was crap. Only 1 QB going in the first. Landry at 8 is high (at least this was admitted), Jarrett at #10 is to high, Leon Hall the third CB selected?

Meh.

Jason Allen is going to be moving to CB, So we need a Saftey

Well the jury is still out on that, and he was really drafted with the initial intent to play safety. So, I doubt we take 2 safetys in 2 years with our first rounders.

I could actually see us take a CB depending on how FA plays out, but I think LB and offensive needs are bigger than S.

I could honestly see us picking any position in the first round other than TE and QB. We need help or more depth everywhere else. I could see us drafting a number of people and Jason Allen is going to play CB, so we are good there with Will Allen, Goodman, Daniels, and Allen. Those players will all be on the team next year. We also might need saftey help, But alot of this is what will happen in Free agency and the combine. CB is not a huge need at this point. I think Nick Saban picks the player that he thinks will help the team the most and no matter what position. I just don't see him picking a TE or QB in the first.

TBH we dont need a FB in round 1 either, and QB is a definate possibility depending on DCs offseason, and the class that will be declaring. Always a hard choice to pass up a franchise guy when your roster just has a question mark.

As it stands, we will prolly be able to hit 2-3 people in FA. I could see a top guy, a middle guy, and a roleplayer or 2.
My big 2 targets would be Briggs the LB and Asante Samuel the CB. If we get both those guys, I think the draft would definately go offense round 1. If we dont get either, D will prolly be a priority. If we get 1 but not the other, who knows :p

Yes we don't need a FB either, But I guess when you want to knit pick like that. No we don't need a QB in the first. Briggs will get franchised and he won't see free agency. Asante Samuel would be nice however I think the Pats keep him.

Briggs isnt a lock to get franchised, and should he avoid it, i recall hearing that he expressed interest in coming down here. Would totally revamp our LB corps.

QB is definately a possibility whether or not you admit it. DC is a big question right now, he might be fine, he might be done, we just dont know. And you dont rule out a pick on that kind of basis.

But yeah, there are many ways our pick could go for sure.
