Poll: Do We Have Our QB Of The Future?

Yes, No.. or Maybe So? Feel free to elaborate.

My own opinion: Hell Yes.. outside of that first year rental of Pennington (and certainly not the second before he got hurt), we already have the best QB since Marino whose incremental improvement, almost on a weekly basis would strongly suggest that he's only gonna get better

I certainly wasn't on the Tannehill bandwagon. But he's has certainly progressed under Lazor's tutelage.

I'd keep him. But I'll definitely keep drafting QBs too.

I 100% in with Tanny. He still has room to grow in some areas, but he will get there.

I expressed some concerns early this season, but I think that was related to adjustments to the new offense. Tannehill continues to surprise me and I think he's good enough to be our long-term starter. If I am Miami, I'd give serious consideration to a long term contract this offseaon. Tannehill's game isnt complete by any means, but I've seen enough to know that he will continue to develop into a great QB.

Yes. Self-professed Kool-Aid drinker here. Think he not only is a good long-term QB, but has the potential to be elite. I think that players who have his combination of athletic talent, intelligence, and work ethic are extremely rare and special. And most importantly, his 'feel' for the game is rapidly improving with experience, which is about what you should expect with someone in any profession over time.

I have been all-in since the Baltimore game last season (strange one to pick, I know) and I'm sticking to my guns. Sign me up.

the longer miami waits the higher the price will be...so i'd be proactive about this and try and land a aaron rodgers like extension like the pack did before he became aaron rodgers the league knows now...this kids the franchise face

lock him up...he's only getting better

i would say yes, and this is coming from someone who was very critical in the beginning of the season.

since philbin called him out, whether it is a coincidence or not, his play has been much better overall. his pocket awareness is so much better, and its making a huge difference.

does he still have his flaws? sure he does, but watching the entire nfl on a weekly basis, there isnt one qb who does not miss throws or take sacks throughout games.

i deff would like to see him work on his passes beyond 20 yds. forget the 60 yd bombs to wallace downfield, but accuracy beyond 20 yds needs some improvement.

for now though, as long as he keeps his turnover rate low like he has been doing for the most part, and avoids big sacks which he has been doing for the most part, i have no problem overall with him.

also, realistically, there is no one who we can bring in better. we r not getting a top draft pick, there are no prize qbs who hit the free agent market,

the way hes playing now, the only way to criticize him is to nitpick small things that every qb does on a weekly basis. it makes no sense.

that being said, please work on the deep ball with wallace during practice, or at least try some deep throws during games, it cant hurt. its such a big weapon we have and we have not utilized it thus far.

also, i am not expecting total perfection every game, because as we all know even the elite do not play to perfection on a weekly basis, but no total crapping the bed like the final 2 games of last year again.

Yes.

Imagine once hitting a deep ball in stride becomes second nature for him. Gg nfl

No doubt. This is the best QB play we have seen in many, many years and he is only going to get better.

Tanne skeptic here
Im a fan of Tannehill, he has gotten better that is for sure. I really like the kid, his attitude etc.

I think lazor was a godsend for Tannehill- great to have an OC who plans around the qb's strengths and does his best to hide deficiencies.

My main concern with Tannehill- I think he can be a big time numbers guy, he obviously has all the physical skills.
However, he didn't have the "it" or clutch factor in college, and IMO he is just OK at best with the game on the line. I know he led a game winning drive a couple of times in his career. I don't think he has elite level intangibles that lead to winning close games, or stealing games that may have been a loss.

But, Aaron Rodgers isn't just going to magically appear for us to sign.. There is NOT a better available option in the draft or free agency.
I think we have a top ten qb wo can put up very nice numbers, and get us in the playoffs a few times. Don't know if he has that factor to elevate his team or play his very best when it matters most. I would absolutely LOVE to be wrong.

My only issue with people wanting to replace Tannehill: With who? Good starting qbs just aren't out there.
Roll with Tannehill. I would much rather have (in my mind) a top ten guy that won't be elite...Than be running through garbage qbs again.
