FH lost and found...

This thread keeps making me think of the original Predator movie, where the dude rips the guys spine out and collects them.

I get being optimistic but my God some of you guys simply won't tolerate a little objective criticism or skepticism of this team.

For the record, when the criticism makes sense, most here are tolerant of it, but when people start yelling we're done about a 9-4 team that under-Achieved and lost by less then a FG in the last mins.

Did Dolphins play weak against the Titans...Yes

Did the Defense play less then they're expected to play against the Titans..Yes

Was the play calling on offense a bit to a lot head scratching...Yes

Did Tua uncommonly fail to win the game in the end...Yes

Why does it not matter as much?:

1. Miami is 9-4, and leading the AFC east.

2. They are now in 2nd position, and still within a winning 3 more games of taking back the #1 seed. (Basically: They still control their own destiny)

3. Granted, Miami has yet to beat a team with a winning record, but they did what they had to do, unlike most of the other good teams who have proven they might lose to anyone at any time. Even then, though I do not hold this as a big excuse (Miami needs to learn to overcome bad refs), what happened in Philly and Germany by the Refs is hard to take, and feel Miami legitimately lost those games.

4. Miami had a plan against the Titans that might have worked if the huge amount of big injuries had not brought the Dolphins back to Earth. Granted the Coaching staff does need to be ready to make the necessary changes at half time, and that is something they will need to fix, but talent wise, they are good enough.

5. When they're on, they can beat anyone, when they're off, they could lose to anyone...Pretty much like any of the other top teams.

There is a middle ground.

Extreme on either side can be annoying when it's non stop.

Thinking that things that happened 5, 10, 20 years ago somehow have a bearing on this team is irrational. So is getting insulted when ppl that love this team have valid criticisms.

If all one does is criticize and post negativity, without also praising when appropriate, they deserve all the crap they get.

Likewise, the ones that want only positive echo chambers, dismissing obvious issues, need to develop a little thicker skin and not take it personally, as if it was a close family member that was being criticized.
Beautiful brother!! Just beautiful. Brought a tear to my eye!!

Yours is good too Tay... I put a like on it.

Oh don't worry about him, I blocked him a long time ago and he can't see my posts. He's the equivalent of your daddy in how long he has been crying here.
You block somebody that disagrees with you? Fantastic. Really open minded of you. The way you talk to people who bring a less than rosy opinion to the table is grounds for being blocked. And your insults are extremely pathetic.

I don't block people that disagree with me, at all. I block trolls. You aren't blocked, take that for what its worth.

The so called broken Jets last week beat the Dangerous Texans 30 to 6.

The odds on Favorite to win Rookie of the Year C.J Stroud, that has been hurting Defenses since he began, was
10 for 23 (43%) for 91yrds...No TDs

Maybe they just looked broken against Miami offense?

They also beat the Eagles earlier in the season. But this last week was different... their oline was a giant mess. That oline looks like the worst in the NFL by a mile. They had Billy Turner out there for them... Billy ****ing Turner. He played with Jonathan Martin and Dallas Thomas and couldnt break the starting lineup. Maybe he did (doesnt change my mind on him sucking... even if he did better once he left to GB), but you get my point.... that team's oline is broken AF. They made Chubb look like he was worth that deal he signed when we traded for him (they made him look like a bargain actually).

The Jets are a bottom rate team. They have a good defense, but even an elite defense with a very substandard offense wont be a good team. They can win some few games, but you cant expect much more than that. The Ravens and Cowboys and the Bills (who would love nothing more than to embarrass us for a 2nd time this year) will be a lot harder to beat than the Jets.

Thanks E, that is what I hope everyone does, keep it controlled on either side, nobody should be saying we're done, or that we are SB bound. Mach is 100% correct that people should be happy if we win, or be angry if we lose one we should win, but for now, don't go overboard.

See I have no problem with any of this. I respect your point of view and agree with it. I never said fire everyone, McDaniel sucks, tua sucks. Never said that. I was extremely disappointed/angry in the manner they lost to an inferior opponent and expressed that. Why I am being insulted by em30m or whatever he calls himself is beyond me. When Miami is deserving of praise I'll be more than happy to offer it. When they play poorly or underachieve I will point that out. It's ok for people to disagree but the attacks/insults are completely unnecessary.

Look at what I've started...

I'm uncomfortable with posts 'DAL is overrated,' or, 'I'm not worried about then,' or 'we will beat them.' I detest absolutes. Don't care what anyone thinks, DAL is 10-4 for a reason. They have talent. Not entertaining the thought Miami might lose is delusional.

I've tried to make this point and some are not receiving it well at all.
