Okay from the comedy circuit (PFT) we have this update.

A league source tells us that quarterback Jay Fiedler will draw interest in several cities -- including Chicago, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and New York (from the Jets, not the Giants).

It's a "pick'em" state for Fiedler and where he wants to serve as a backup according to PFT.

I don't think PFT has EVER named the source of any one of their stories. Anything they do name is from other papers or ESPN (when they're not taking shots).

I don't see the Saints being interested in Fiedler, unless they are looking to trade Todd Bouman. They just signed Bowman to an extension a few months ago.

He could compete to start in Dallas. If they judge him by the only game they saw him in person, they'll name him the starter on day one.
