With the Dolphins/Jets game only 2 weeks away, it looks like we probably won't get to see Fiedler play afterall. Too bad, I was really looking forward to that matchup.

When Jay Fiedler hurt his shoulder in September, Jets coach Herman Edwards held out hope the veteran quarterback would be able to return this season.

The hope seems to be fading. Edwards said Monday that Fiedler isn't any closer to returning to the field and has yet to practice during seven-on-seven drills. Fiedler will try to practice this week, but if he isn't getting better, Edwards said offseason surgery is an option.

I'm happy about that, i was terrified that he would face us and throw for like 280 yards and 4 TD's right in front of a Miami home crowd really rubbing it in. Because honestly i think a healthy Jay Fiedler would have provided better QB play than anything we've seen from either Rosenfels or Frerotte this year.
