Fielder mad he was benched

I disagree. I don't believe Jay is going to accept his demotion graciously. You believe he is a stand up guy, but I've heard comments from Jay and his agent that suggest otherwise. I posted the other day that Jay will become a malcontent once he is benched because he stated right after AJ was acquired that he will no accept being a back up in Miami. I see Jay doing basically the same thing Doug Flutie did in Buffalo.
Jay said he was not interested in playing for a team in which he was slated as the backup from the outset, but if he lost the starting job fairly in competition then he could live with it. I think that maybe he didnt really believe Wanny would ever bench him.

Fiedler completes 5-13 for 42 yds and 2 ints, AJ completed a bunch of dumpoff passes in garbage time, where is this great arm AJ's supposed to have. AJ should start especially if the fins are going no where fast.

This guy is too much, he says in the herald that he has had slow starts before and won games late and should have been given a chance to play in the second half, Jay wake up you had four years and your rating was a 8, you are done now as our starter AJ was a professional and shut his mouth when he was behind you and he did not say anything but good about you today, SHUT UP JAY AND HOLD THE CLIPBOARD :fire:
Fiedler is apparently a poor loser, he needs to be as big a man as Feeley was when he got "hamstringed" by Dumbstache last week.:fire:

I just finished watching the game on Direct TV. I have a few random thoughts about the game.

1. Fiedler stunk! He would have gotten pulled in a pop warner game. Mr. Rubberband arm just is not cutting it. I applaud DW for pulling him after the first half.
2. DW made some stupid challenges.
3. Everything was against us from the pass interference call in the endzone that gave them a touchdown to the bogus incomplete pass to McMichael that Chambers picked.
4. Our OC called a horrible game. How about letting Feeley throw a couple of deep balls?
5. We had a chance to win, but stupid penalties cost us.
I am glad that DW is naming Feeley to start the second game. We need some continuity.

I think Fielder should of been benched, however I also believe Fiedler should be mad that he was benched. In fact, if he was happy he was benched, I believe Miami should cut him right now. A player that is not mad that they were benched is a player that shouldn't be in the NFL.
It depends on who he is mad at. If he is mad at himself for playing so poorly then yeah, thats a good thing. But, if he is mad at the coaches for pulling him after that horrendous 1st half then I gotta wonder where his head is at.

I haven't seen the game, but your #4 point I think is interesting. I did watch the oakland game and our old OC Norv Turner called several deep pass plays, maybe it isn't our new OC that isn't calling the deep pass maybe it is "death spiral dave". Just a thought.

its not AJ's fault if the coaches call those play. no, AJ shouldnt start since fins are going nowhere. AJ should start since he is the better QB & can get better with exp, whereas JF cant get any better.

Let him cry, I just wish they would get rid of him so he would go somewhere else and do it. I dont even want him for a back-up. Get Sage ready to play it !

I always supported Jay. But screw him. I'm sick of liking him cause he has heart. Screw heart we need talent. And the respect in the locker room means jack sh*t to me. I want wins, and it is very clear that we have no chance whatsoever if we need to depend on his arm to win games.

:happydrin

Cheers to that.
Last weeks game, although it sucks we lost, will have a lasting positive effect on this franchise in that it is the game that finally caused the end of Fiedler leading this team at QB. I am really excited about the future of this franchise...... finally.

What exactly is your point in this post?

Everyone knows by now AJ has a stonger arm, even the media who bashed both QB's this weekend says he has more arm strength.

I saw it in preseason (pass to Bellamy), and I saw it in the game on Sunday. And not just strength, but accuracy. Even Dave owned up to that in the post-game conference.

As for dumping off, Jay is the king of dump-offs. It's his first option, to him Chambers is probably the check down man.

Nontheless, you have a right to question, AJ hasn't played too much. I give you that. Let's both hope we see that arm strength show up on Sunday night, unless you want to see him and this team fail?

I completely agree with all of it. The "off-season from hell" carried over into the opening week. I know good teams make their own breaks but, i would just one freaking time like to see US get a break. I guess the Patriots are taking all the breaks and luck the AFC East is getting alloted by the football gods.

Chris Foerster was...um.....inconsistent to say the least. they did not attempt one deep ball....not one. Wanny came out with "all the play action deep stuff we attempted was blahblahlah"....SHUT UP! :fire: How bout a seven step drop, fly pattern to Chambers ONE TIME! Even if it has no hope of being completed it would at least make the opposing teams secondary think about it a little bit.

The under-use of Chris Chambers is STUNNING! Wanny and Foerster should be tied to a chair and forced to watch the Dallas game from last year 100 times in a row so they can see what Chambers can do when used properly.

How about the Wanny decision to go for it on 4th and 1 at our 49 in the third quarter down by seven points BUT, punting on 4th and one from the 50 down by 14? W.T.F. is THAT!?:fire:

I have had enough of Wanny. He is a horses a$$. I am tired of his same old same old crap. Never in my life did I ever think I would say Jim Bates was a bright spot for our team but, on Saturday he actually was.

Wanny has to say it loud and clear....."A.J.Feeley is the starter". not "we'll see week to week". STOP IT!:fire: Let A.J. get the reps in practice. Let the recievers learning his style and the lineman learning his voice and style....

I appreciate the fact that Jay won 37 games for us. How often did he choke, and when did he choke, at the worst possible times. I wish Jay had been successful, but he didn't seem to have that little bit extra you need, when the going gets rough.
