For every one saying THis and that about our draft read this....
per. scouting .com
Pos:
Nice-sized, strong-armed pocket passer with a great amount of upside. Patient, calm under pressure and buys time for receivers. Gets outside the pocket to give himself a better view of the field, has a quick, over-the-top delivery and immediately gets the ball out of his hand. Zips the outs, Possesses a good deep arm and drives passes into the tight spots. Flashes the ability to beautifully place throws where only his target can make the reception. Consistently challenges the vertical game. Puts touch on throws when necessary.
Neg:
At times stares the primary target down from the get-go. Not adverse to forcing the throw into coverage. Makes some head-scratching decisions at times. Not an elusive quarterback who escapes the rush. Marginally accurate throwing on the move and downfield. Leadership abilities are in question.

Now read this....
Pos:
Intelligent passer accurate in the short and intermediate field. Stands strong in the pocket, poised under the rush and consistently finds the open wideout. Sells the ball fakes, looks off the safety and goes through receiver progressions. Displays a sense of timing, hits receivers as they leave their breaks and nicely sets up screen throws. Puts touch on passes when necessary, placing the ball into the receivers’ hands. Immediately gets rid of the ball on quick tosses. Stays away from the errant pass.
Neg::
Lacks the top deep arm. Over-aged prospect.

Which would you pick....

yeah no kidding first is Quinn, second is Beck
GO Beck!!!!!!

The top one sounds like the write up on Dan Marino.

Not adverse to forcing the throw into coverage. Makes some head-scratching decisions at times. Not an elusive quarterback who escapes the rush. Marginally accurate throwing on the move and downfield. Leadership abilities are in question. :shakeno:

This doesnt remind me of anyone named Marino.

The only neg. Is lacking a TOP Deep Arm. wow. Come on if that is the only thing your lacking your a good one.
Or it means BYU was on television so infrequently a random sports writer hasn't fully been able to evaluate him. Not to mention BYU played against such a low level of competition it's hard to find flaws that might come out against better defenses.

hahaahahhhahahahahha duuuuuuuuuuude are you serious???? OH COOL, A PRO SCOUT HAS A LONGER NEGATIVE ON QUINN!!! WE MUST HAVE MADE THE RIGHT DESCISION!!!

WE....i mean...CAM AND RANDY....F***ed up BIIIIIIIIIIG TIME, this set us back another 4-5 years unless Beck turns out to be good or we pick up a great qb later.

For all of us miami fans, supporting your team is huge, but so is critizing it. We messed up big time, we could've gone Brady Quinn, Steve Smith, James Marten *or any left tackle, or even satele since that wasnt horrible*, Daymein *sp?* Hughes

You don't remember much of the Marino era then, because the big knock on Marino was that he was so ****y in his ability that he would often force the ball into coverage. Marino also was not an elusive QB AT ALL, but he did have the quick release (which Quinn is noted as having in the write up). Marino wasn't exactly all that accurate on the move either.

Which site was that? If they do grades QB 1 would have a higher one.

Brady Quinn played Army, Navy and the like. Way to blow holes in your "low level of competition" theory. I'M JOE MONTANA AGAINST THE ARMY.

Why do I have a feeling Beck will not be playing professional football 4 years from now while Quinn will be starting 2 years from now...? On the brighter note, didn't Trent Green flourish at 28-29?
