I just want to tell you something. I have been reading all this about trading JT and Zack for early picks. I will tell you like any fan you over-value those two players. if packaged together you would be able to get a 2nd or a late first for them but that is about it. Here is why:

1. They are both on the wrong side of thirty.
2. Their CAP Hits for being on the wrong side of thirty.

Those are the two main reasons. Do not get me wrong they can play. But you over-value them in the market. They are most valuable to your team. If you want to get the first rounf value for those players you are not so you mind as well restructure them and let them retire as Fins. Unless you want to get late 1st Day piks for them like 3rds maybe.

I agree about not being able to get a ton for Zach... But I think you are wrong with JT. I mean, "On the wrong side of thirty"... he was able to get the DMVP award. He hasnt shown any signs of slowing down... and looks to have atleast 3 years of playing at a top level still in him.

For that kind of production/proformance... you could get a really good pick out of a team that is only a couple of pieces away... like Denver. Denver's Dline gets NO pressure whatsoever. If they had JT, imagine what Champ could do?!

I agree with you that the salary thing is an obstical... but I honestly believe a team that was close would be very willing to trade for him.

With that said... I have no interest in trading JT...

Trade Zach for a 3rd if you can... if not... keep him...

He is right and I have said this before there is no way Miami gets a 1st round pick for either of them because of their age and their contracts.

Ok I would give you that Maybe you could get a Late first for JT. But with the his cap hit I think a 2nd not any more. See the thing is I would have easily agreed with a Late first for him up until retirement comes out of his mouth.

Second I think he excels in MIA because of the DEF he plays there. Now you put him someplace like DEN that runs a base 4-3 where he is down everytime I think he would not nearly put up the numbers he does in that version of a 3-4 you all run.

That's actually untrue. He was a dominant DE playing for JJ and DW for 8 yrs. He became more of a hybrid player the last 2 seasons when Saban came on board.
