Assuming we lose to Pitt, and get the 11th pick.

1) Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State
2) Brian Price DT UCLA
3) O'brien Schofield OLB Wisconsin
4) Roddrick Muckelroy OLB Texas
5) Javarris James RB Miami
6) Brian Jackson CB Alabama
6) Thomas Austin OG/C Clemson
7) Dorin Dickerson TE/HB Pittsburgh
7) Jay Ross DT ECU

explanations:

1) Dez Bryant- We are lacking a true explosive possession receiver and he provides that. Has the speed and Size to be a starter from day one. Even though "this regime dosent draft wr's in the 1st round" jeff ireland has said many times our biggest need is WR, and at the end his choice will be wise.

2) Brian Price- Big strong and athletic DT. will drop bc hes being overshadowed by Ndamkoung, McCoy, Cody, and Dan W. Hes in the mold of the next warren sapp. A very athletic guy for his size 6'3 310. we will be very lucky to grab him here. Can be a starter for us!

3) O'brien Schofield- a athletic DE/OLB, hybrid athlete. at 6'3 240, he has the size to play OLB as a pass rusher in our scheme. He is a fast 4.6 OLB who has an incredible motor and burst. He specializes in pass coverage. Great pickup, who can be a versatile athlete on our team.

4) Roddrick Muckelroy- another athletic, but tough OLB who has a mean streak mentality. part of the goon squad (lol) meaning " throwing your body around without care" coming from a program that produces top pass rushers. Big guy who can move side to side line. has all the tools to become a great pass rusher.

5) Javarris James- yes i am a cane fan, and im aware dolphins rarely draft Miami players. And yes javarris wasn't as successful at college but he has the tools and pedigree to become a great RB for us in the future. He did break the freshman record at miami for most yards, surpassing his cousin edgerin james. Hes a big back whos a team leader and always comes in when hes needed. Very clutch and has the strength that our coaches love at a rb. with proper conditiong and coaching he could be a steal. can compliment ronnie & ricky as a 3rd down back, where he was most effective at miami.

6) Brian Jackson- The 6-1, 200-pounder is a physical player on the edge, perfectly suited to schemes relying on man coverage outside to negate height down the sideline. Jackson matched up against Texas' top receiver, Jordan Shipley, numerous times during the game, helping to limit the sixth-year player to four catches and 22 yards. He broke up a pass to Shipley to force a punt early, and then stopped a Texas drive late by reading QB Colt McCoy to pick off a pass late. Among his six tackles were two on kickoff returns; his special teams prowess gives him a leg up on getting playing time as an NFL rookie. He can be a very effective dime corner.

6) Thomas Austin- A versatile OG/C who opended many holes for james davis and cj spiller. played all 4 years. Big strong run blocker, can be a very valuable reserve on our team. having depth in the OL will be key to our success.

7) Dorin Dickerson- a 4.5 TE/HB whos specialty is screen passes and short post. He drops this far due to no big plays but what he does is what gets him drafted. Hes valuable, was picked 3rd team all american. hes a big TE whos very athletic and plays as another big back. Him and louska polite can create huge hole for our rb's for years to come.

7) Jay Ross- A backup DT who can be our 3rd or 4th on the depth chart. big guy who gets to the backfield and creates turnovers.

As you can see i selected ATHLETIC/VERSATILE players. something our team is missing. We need FAST athletes.

These players come from programs known for making good nfl prospects and i think this draft can turn us around.

Looks a good solid draft m8 but i'd like to get some ILB help early on , maybe McClain instead of Bryant (although i agree WR is a massive need too) .Depends who we bring in through FA WR or ILB. Nice mock though .

i totally agree with McClain, but hes not gonna be there when we pick :( i think i will cry of happiness if we can somehow grab him!

Would prefer Golden Tate(mancrush) but if you can get Dez Bryant, you do it. A draft like that with a good FA period, we can go as far as we can dream.

i would like us to get Micha Johnson in the second round if we dont get a ILB in FA

I like that draft and Im also a cane fan and would love to snag James. Also agree totally about Micha Johnson, I can't believe some people on hear have him going in the fourth that guys gonna be a player.

bryant will be a top 10 pick and i think parcells goes defense with the first pick. dont like the two olb picks. the only way id even be remotely happy with this draft is if we do in fact get bryant. that would be a dream come true.

After D. Bryant (whom I've been dreaming of), I'm not loving this mock. If we're selecting 11th overall, I think Cody will be available in the 2nd, and Spikes might even fall to that spot - let alone tons of talented OLB's. Hell, even the Gresham might fall to that spot - with his time off. I don't see Price as a good value pick in the 2nd with all the players that will/could be falling.

1) As much as I would love a WR like Dez I just cannot be convinced that this regime will take a WR that high in the draft.

2) Not there is anything wrong with Price, I don't think he will fall to us in the 2nd. He's not 6'3" 310lbs more like 6'2" 285-290.

3) O'brien Schofield- mehh.

What would we do with a player of Price's size (assuming he is 285-290)? Add depth to the DE position? That pick - especially in the 2nd - wouldn't make any sense.

I want the 6th and 7th rounds to look like this:

Terrel Troupe, NT
Brandon James, KR/PR
Myron Rolle, S
Thomas Austin, OG/C
Best LB avalible, ILB/OLB

1st through 4th should be like this:

Dez Bryant, WR
Best LB avalible or Cody if he falls*
Best Safety Avalible
Best TE avalible

I hate the J James pick I would go with Gerhart hands down James is way overrated Cooper led that team till he got hurt other than that its pretty solid

That's the point,he might have to switch to DE in our 3-4, but its still not a bad pick because I think Price could fit as DE in a 3-4. I just don't he will be there at our pick, nor do I think Tuna and Co. take him with so many other needs to fill.
