Dolphins | Cameron is only coach pulling double duty
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 18:51:46 -0700
Jeff Darlington, reporting for the Sporting News, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron will become the NFL's only active coach to serve as the team's offensive coordinator and head coach, making it clear that the fate of the team will ride on the execution of his offensive strategies.

Dolphins | Schlesinger could open holes for Brown
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 18:51:06 -0700
Jeff Darlington, reporting for the Sporting News, reports by signing FB <A href="http://www.kffl.com/player/642/nfl">Cory Schlesinger, head coach Cam Cameron believes the Miami Dolphins have created a potentially potent combination that could eventually compare to the San Diego Chargers deadly duo of RB LaDainian Tomlinson and FB Lorenzo Neal. By giving Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown a blocker like Schlesinger to clear holes for him, it could allow the former second-overall pick to finally begin showing the skills Miami expected to see from him in his first two seasons. Schlesinger, a 13-year veteran, is one of the best blockers in the league.

Dolphins | Team could consider Ginn Jr. with ninth pick
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 18:50:42 -0700
Jeff Darlington, reporting for the Sporting News, reports with the No. 9 overall pick, the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins are likely to give serious consideration to Ohio State WR Ted Ginn Jr., arguably the fastest player in the draft. General manager Randy Mueller has a strong affection for fast players.

Gotta love Cam being the Head Honcho and our O- Cord. And you absoultley have to love Sledge. He has broken over 200 faskmasks buy blocking over the years. That's an average of one per game.

Dolphins | Team interested but wants Green to take pay cut
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 19:06:16 -0700
Greg A. Bedard, of the Palm Beach Post, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins are very interested in Kansas City Chiefs QB Trent Green, but they want Green to take a major pay cut from the $7.2, $7.7 and $9.2 million the 36-year-old veteran is due over the next three seasons, which are the final three years on his current contract. Miami doesn't want to pay Green, who will turn 37 in July, much more than the NFL veteran's minimum, which is $820,000 in 2007.

Dolphins | Team hopes Quinn falls to them
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 19:08:59 -0700
Greg A. Bedard, of the Palm Beach Post, reports with the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/18/nfl">Houston Texans dropping to the No. 10 pick, that means there is one fewer team of ahead of the Miami Dolphins (No. 9 pick) who might take Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn. The Oakland Raiders (first overall), Detroit Lions (second), and Minnesota Vikings (seventh) all could consider Quinn or the other top-rated quarterback, LSU QB JaMarcus Russell.

We could hope that the Oakland Raiders (first overall), Detroit Lions (second), and Minnesota Vikings (seventh) could trade for Carr. That would cut the list to two with one of those taking Russell.

I know we have an offer waiting for Spragan and I hope D-Bo resigns. These two players would provide depth and are good ST players.

bowens is a great pass rusher, i hope we resign him. plus spragan would add great depth to the lb corps. im glad none is offering y bell a contract. the guy is a beast. we better sign him long term before new england steals him from us though.

interseing regarding the Bell sitaution. maybe we aren't all taht happy with him at SS.

Thought that read was kinda funny. He'll probably come back as a nice backup.

And just more good news from one of our biggest rivals

Bills | Spikes on the trade block
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 18:58:48 -0700
Mark Gaughan, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/139">Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills LB Takeo Spikes is on the trade block, and all the economic factors point to him being traded. It remains hard to see how they can avoid spending more cash than their cap limit of $112 million with Spikes on the roster. He's scheduled to make $4.6 million in 2007.

Is it just me, or are the CHEAP Bills organization purposely trying to screw up the team...Nate Clements, GONE, London Fletcher, GONE, Willis Mcgahee, GONE and now Takeo Spikes, bout to be GONE. They got little compensation for Mcgahee, a former 1st round pick, and overpayed drastically for Dockery. They have SO much money to spend but all theyre doing is ruining what seemed to be slight improvements last year for them. Oh well, good news for the Fins. :)

Edit: Oh and with this shaub trade, theres a real possibility Adrian Peterson could fall in our laps and guess who desperately needs a RB, yup the Bills. Will be interesting to see if they become trade partners with us, them along with Packers, better offer wins ;)
